Cotto wasn't as drained as Dawson. Cotto had at least enough strength to make the fight competitive for nearly four full rounds.

I have to go with Pac here.

The fact that this can be posed as a serious question is a bit silly. In Cotto we have a fighter who had won titles at the division he was fighting in. Dawson has no SMW pedigree and got put down by a fighter who is known to be a soft puncher. Pac-Cotto by far

Have to go with Pac. Dawson was dropped in sparring, he knew he was ****ed before going into the ring. Cotto IMO had to take the fight at the lower weight because of his promoter, but wasn't effected by it as much as Dawson.

You'd have to be a ****ing moron to consider Ward-Dawson a better win than Pacquiao-Cotto.

dawson, but its close. I think dawson is the more decorated fighter in terms of resume. Both were allegedly drained and both handled the other fighter like a true great. Its really that close

Hmm, I gotta say Dawson vs Ward was the more legit fight. Both Dawson and Cotto were picking on smaller men, but at least Dawson had the courage to fight Ward at his own weightclass of 168.

Cotto on the other hand, drug pacquaio (a blown up light weight) up to 147. Cotto was a champion at welter and fought his last 8 fights there. Where as Pacquaio had only 1 fight at welter a year previously, and had since dropped to 140 were he felt more comfortable.

Hell, only 2 fights before Cotto, Pac was fighting at 135, then he jumped to Welter? That's a rediculous advantage for Cotto, picking on smaller men like that. Who else could do that without getting criticized?

That would be just as crazy as something like Floyd Mayweather asking a 135 lb Marquez to jump to Welter. It just doesn't happen guys.

Which all makes Pac's win more impressive.

Cotto was in better shape for his fight than Dawson was for his, Cotto's a better fighter than Dawson, the size difference was more telling.

Pac-Cotto is the greater win (though Ward's win is very, very good).

Dawson was DEAD at this weight. Ward gets even less credit than Pac gets for DLH. FACT

Of course he gets less, DLH was a great win for Pac. People were saying he wouldn't last 3 rounds. After all, he had been fighting at 130lbs. He took a single fight at 135, skipped 140 all together and went straight to 147 to fight De La Hoya, then beat the pants off of him.

People on this site even weren't gonna buy the PPV, because the fight was ******ed. De La Hoya was gonna knock him out in 3 rounds. It was all about De La Hoya's ego and wanting to con the world into thinking he won a great fight against a great fighter. Pac should get all the credit in the world.

Most people on the other hand expected Ward to win his fight, however were surprised with the ease in which he did it.
