According to Bob Arum, less than 1000 tickets remain for the December 8 showdown between 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and 4-division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez. "The reception that the public has afforded this fight has been truly tremendous. We have less than 1000 tickets remain to be sold for the event," Arum revealed during a conference call to promote the bout.

Despite the fact that this is the fourth encounter between the two fighters, Arum is confident that the bout will be a success at the box office. "The gate receipt already exceeds $10 million and are approaching $11 million. Reports we're getting from the closed circuit exhibitors and from the foreign broadcasters are very enthusiastic, so we are anticipating a tremendous event on December 8th," Arum explained. "A fight that will go into the anals of boxing history because these gentleman have fought 3 previous times and there's no doubt in my mind that this 4th fight will be the best fight of all."

A fight that will go into the anals of boxing history?
Poor choice of words there Bob.

And i ****ing can't stand the fact that out of a possible say 20000 tickets, like 15000 will go to sponsors, ceo's and friends, partners etc.

I'm gonna watch it. It's probably one of the last fights of the great boxer, Pacquiao.

This fight is not exciting. Floyd beat JMM easily. I would have rather seen Pacman take on Bradley and win that fight.

I'm surprised this many people wanted to get tickets for their 4th serving on Pac vs Marquez. Nothing against the fighters as they're both top tier, but as fans, this is what we have.

3rd fight was a snoozer. They better kill each other in this one or never fight each other again.

i don't believe it, maybe just another marketing ploy by TR to sell. The outcome of this fight is already predetermined by a lot of fans and experts, pac isn't going to magically become better than his last 2 performances, he is on the decline and this fight may even look worse than the 3rd

the outcome of the 3rd was also predetermined. most, if not everyone thought Pac was knocking out Marquez.
