The fight is going to happen . but Dam hella people are underestimating Pavlik. don't get me wrong i favor Ward but to just dismiss Pavlik. He's in a no Lose situation and probaly at his most dangerous looking to prove all the critics and doubters wrong. some people are saying he has no chance in hell but to tell you the truth this has all the makings of an upset

It's gonna be golden when most all of ESB collectively shits their pants when Kelly KO's Ward late in the fight. :deal :yep

They keep on disparaging Pavlic and thats probably what got him the fight.
Now, I see a Kelly Pavlic, much improved from the old one.
Better jab and now a devestating left hook to go with his right hand.
    Bigger, stronger, and harder hitter.
Ward cant punch with this guy.

Yeah, your right Ward is going to have a lot of pressure on him to dominate the fight, or he could take Pavlik a little more lightly then he should. And I think all the hate Pavlik gets might motivate him to come into the fight the best he has in a long time.

You know that things are out of proportion when even the die hard Pavlik fans don't give him much of a chance. I have seen maybe one poster who thinks Pavlik can make it a close fight. And even he thinks Pavlik will lose. Even myself I have to favor Ward in this fight.

It may just come down to whether Kelly can just one more time invoke that inner demon and be willing to walk right thru fire in order to not be denied.

If Pavlik makes it even REMOTELY competitive, it would underline how blatantly superior Martinez is on a pound for pound level.

Yeah, Pavlik did say he is going to give Ward a real fight the kind he has not been in before, but we will see if Pavlik is still able to fight in that kind of a way.

If Pavlik is in great shape and makes it close or beats ward it won't show anything about Martinez being a better p4p fighter.

Pavlik was weight drained and in rehab during training camp and was winning the fight until he got a bad cut that impaired his vision. Plus Pavlik admited that he gased out in what was not that high of a tempo fight for him, it shows he was not healthy by his standards.

I'm looking forward to this one. I fully expect Ward to take a 9-3 type of decision.

Kelly has to show me something I haven't seen from him since he came back. He is stuck between styles last time out. He has to think a little too much. If he hesitates against Ward he will eat a punch and have to reset. As mentioned above, he probably had enough to beat Martinez had he been 95% or better, but he wasn't and he didn't. I'm warming to Martinez some but still think he is way over rated P4P. I'm not gonna big him up to make Kelly look better. That's my honest opinion.

I agree he has not looked that good in his last 4 fights. And I have seen almost nobody say Pavlik has even a good chance to win vs Ward. Your poll that mysteriously disappeared was as lopsided as I have ever seen a poll for a fight.

Like I said even I don't favor Pavlik to win although no doubt he could. With all that he has been through he could come into the fight like a man possessed.

No it really don't! It has Ward you've earned a bum (free) fight actually written on it. I don't know what you've seen or saw in Pavlik that makes you think this fight won't end in a KO!:dead

Martinez is no match for Ward! That would be just too easy! That's why Martinez is nipping "Down" towards Mayweather. He's not thinking go up!

Yeah, because Ward is all too willing to travel to other weight classes for his challenges right.:nono
