Had no idea there were masters, over 35 boxing tournaments held in Australia until I stumbled on this website >>> www.mastersboxingaustralia.net I notice Frank Ropis won a title at one of these masters tournaments at age 55, a couple of years ago.
I have started training at the North Sydney PCYC and there are quite a few masters competing there I didn't realise it was as big as it is until I started there
Yes your right me & about 5 other guys were bagging the lion we are apparently one guy who created all the accounts because we are jealous of the great lion who defeated his world class sparring partner for a world title in a 4 round fight. When I was exposed as the flea on the lion I shat myself, I am no match for a 55kg 45 year old man.
Could be a bit of fun. I'm guessing a lot of blokes are just using it to get fit and meet some new people. Or were blokes who fought amateur but family, work or whatever excluded them from continuing. The more the merrier I say. Be ****ed if Bernard Hopkins moved to Australia and turned up wanting a fight tho!!
..35 is not old these days..alot of guys still in pretty good nick at that age..even if it's just a excuse to get 'fightin' fit'..I highly recommend it..:good
yes mate 5PM at Nth Sydeny every night very good trainer and he is a Rugby man which makes him even better
most afternoons 5PM but only just started very good classes going through technique and footwork not just hitting bags and pads for fitness
