Martinez is just too small for Ward. Style wise, if they were the same weight, it would be an interesting match up.
NOTTT! He had problems with JCC who sings wild and is somewhat unorthodoxed and can only fight in spurts. Ward would take advantage of his weaknesses inside of 8 rounds.
This is how it will go, ward will do all his small punches, and then clinch everytime after his 1-2. rince and repeat.
The problem is that it's not about "walking through" the punches, it's about not being able to hit Ward or stop Ward from hitting him. Froch has the chin to take plenty of Ward's shots flush, but it didn't matter when Ward made himself small and pushed Froch back and speedily tagged his had and body repeatedly before getting out of range again and repeating the process. Pavlik can invoke all the demons he wants, he'll need to have a calm head along with a determined heart if he wants to have any success at all in setting up and landing his punches.
I would actually like to see Pavlik-Martinez 2 if Kelly can comfortably make 160. Martinez won the forst few rounds of the first fight until Pavlik figured out his speed. After that Kelly was winning up until the cut where he looked bewildered. Not saying Pavlik wins, but its a much more competetive fight than vs Ward in my opinion.
Oh yeah, I forgot that Ward moved up to 175 to beat Dawson at the weight he was comfortable at. What a warrior silly meatsch
IT pavlik's inner fortitude. and it's what i saw from Ward in those last few rounds of the Froch fight. Pavlik will be pressing the issue and ward will meet him center ring . Pavlik if more physical then Froch. and and can be just as rough as ward. If ward makes the mistake of meeting KP head on and meets pressure with Pressure he could lose. if he sitts back and boxes then he gets a UD. Ward Won't KO KP!!! He's Durable unlike Chad Dawson:hey
Watch Ward very, very closely, and then take into consideration that Ward has NEVER faced an opponent who could throw a decent 3-2, or lead right.
Keep forgetting Pavlik is only 30, seems he's a been around for a long time. There is a chance of an upset but most likely a Ward wide UD.
