Not trolling ,, apoligies dude i misread what you stated earlier in the post about jones and hopkins and travelling ignore that.

I`m sure calzaghe would have flown earlier like 2002 when the Hopkins fight was signed, from what ive heard he`d only fly if the plan was a jumbo.

Yes hopkins fought at middleweight , thats not my point my point is Calzaghe and hopkins had fight signed. Calzaghe would have fought hopkins Ottke etc if they were willing too.

End of the day Calzaghe was far less fortunate than Ward or Froch

Dino you seem to have a great appreciation for Cleverly you yet you appear to knock Groves any reason? As i know that they have sparred and rate each other very highly

theres nobody big enough to fight to make him an atg. compare this with pacquiao who fought big names such as dlh, morales, mosely, pbf, etc.

What is there to 'clean up' at light heavyweight?
Tavoris Cloud, Jean Pascal, rematch with Chad Dawson.

    Whoopdi friggin do.

That will no nothing to his career. I think he should move down even though we know it will be difficult for him. BUT first I want a rematch with Froch.

Perhaps, Irish. But, lets say in the next year, rematch wins with both Froch and Kessler finish up his work at 168. He then moves up to 175 to take on Cloud, Pascal, Cleverly and Dawson at 175, assuming he regains form at 175. This would take him 2 more years. He'd be in his early 30's and already cleaned out 2 divisions. He'd have earned my vote at that point. If he were to make another move up to cw(which would be a stretch, but not impossible depending on the landscape of both divisions), it should make an even better case, win or lose. I won't fault a fighter for coming up short if he is pushing his limits.

Ward is a special kind of fighter, it may sound ridiculous right now but he could do an Andre bishop and move to heavyweight since he started at around the same weight and he's still young. Would he beat the klitscho brothers? I don't think so although maybe when my scenario happens both the klits are already retired and he'd beat haye, adamek, povetkin and the rest of the contenders

People are trying to claim Groves would beat Ward and Ward is going to be ducking him in a few years. Its madness. Other than that ive never knocked him. He's a good fighter, there's not much to dislike about him.
