A 12-rounder between two big guys who had great jabs.

Bowe dosnt have shavers power but he is a better boxer imo and has better endurance. I think if hit by Bowe Larry would get up again but get knocked down more than once.

He cant hide behind his jab all night with Bowe, he has a good jab himself LONG range, speed, and huge power.

Holmes is a proven all time great, whereas Riddick Bowe will always be a question of "what if?"

Riddick Bowe was taken apart by Andrew Golota. Make all the excuses you want, but it happened. Not just once, but twice. Golota threw those fights away by being a headcase.

Larry has all of the skill and attributes to do the same, while possessing a much stronger mentality, to say the least. It's like pitting a boy against a man.

Bowe could make it a rough night for Larry, but I wouldn't feel confident picking him as a winner. Not at all. If you pick Bowe, you have to make allowances: "well, if it's the Bowe that fought Holy in the first fight, then maybe..."

Bowe has more weapons and is a more well rounded boxer

He can do enough to win a decision

Agree, Bowe had a formidable jab, beast of an inside game, and
a better chin and more powerful right than Holmes imo. Id say
BOWE UD or TKO 11. Wouldnt be surprised if their was a split decision

Although I'd take Holmes in this fight, that is preposterous. We're talking about a single fight here. Who the hell has Holmes beaten on a single night to suggest he could take on the Bowe that took out Holyfield? Bowe's two wins over a prime and slightly past prime Holyfield are by far greater than anything Holmes has on his resume. A green Witherspoon that he went life and death with, please cut the bull****.

I think Bowe's size works against him here. Holmes is used to fighting bigger guys and would be in his comfort zone here. A nice juicy target for that ATG jab to find all night. Adding in Bowe's lack of defence, Larry's bound to be successful with the jab. A prime Holmes should be able to avoid getting drawn into a brawl for the majority of the fight and although Riddick would make it tough I think Larry can come close to matching Bowe's inside game. Although Riddick's is one of the best we've seen from any heavyweight, Holmes was very sneaky on the inside with his uppercuts and would know when to tie Bowe up. Close UD for Holmes over 12 or 15.

Been watching alot of Holmes recently and I got to say I've got a whole new appreciation of him he was truly a special talent. I think Holmes would UD Bowe and probably make him look bad in the process. I could see him outjabbing Bowe, setting up that nice cross right he had and using his good footwork to get out of danger when Bowe got in close. Bowe was getting beaten on the outside by Holy in the few moments he utilised his jab and we all know Golota decimated him on the outside. I think bar probably Ali and that Holmes has the best outside game of any Heavy.

    Holmes UD.

He had a good jab but he could be outjabbed quite handily it seems. Holy did it when he bothered to jab as opposed to going balls to the walls and Golota did it. Both also almost at will landed a right cross and Holmes has one of the best in the bizz. Bowe's inside game is indeed very good but who did a prime Holmes allow to work on the inside? He dictated the distance with his superb jab.

Also I doubt Bowe had a better chin, a zombified Holyfield dropped and had Bowe in alot of trouble as did Golota. Holmes was only dropped by monster shots and was only taken out by Tyson when he was past prime and hadn't fought in over a year.

the 92 version of bowe can beat holmes for sure, i think that spoon did beat holmes actually, bowe would have been too strong and too aggressive for the static larry, and i don“t think that larry had the power enough to get a great respect from bowe.

Riddick Bowe has good inside game whereas Holmes doesn't like inside fighting too much. His jab is also on par (not superior) with Holmes so Bowe won't be outboxed badly on the outside. I see a close split decision in favour of Bowe or a late stoppage from Bowe. Bowe's chin is also more stronger than Holmes.
