no he don't get the respect his fans think he deserves :deal p4p means **** all - a p4p fighter who is not ppv and struggling to sell out tiny arenas is not ideal is it?

You really are thick if you think froch bute is even comparable to froch vs ward. For starters froch didn't even have a belt and our fans had no idea who bute was. Ward on the other hand has a very good following over here and is seen as the man to beat. It would be a unification bout and Eddie hearn has already gone on record saying a fight of this magnitude would fill a uk stadium and that sky tv are prepared to bring back ppv for such an event.

We are talking the future here so what is there not to like if you are andre ward? Getting a better deal through fighting in another champs country rather than your own is how it is at present for ward.

I agree with Dan's assessment. However, a Froch rematch IS still the most significant fight at 168. A Kessler rematch is probably still the 2nd most significant.

Indeed, i agree and are not a fan of stay at home fighters hence i wasn't a big fan of calzaghe.

Problem is i was using calzaghe vs lacey as an example and no calzaghe wouldn't have made more fighting lacey in the states, not forgetting that left hook was seen as Americas best super middleweight and hyped as so.

The idea that Ward "has to" come to England or something is ****ing ridiculous.

Many idiots posting in this thread.

    Wrong.

Just like Sven Ottke. He still has ways to go to reach him though.

    That doesnøt make any sense...

First of all... the madness was that Kessler as the champion had to travel to the backyerd of an unknown boxer at the time. That was crazy, but real champions sometimes make gestures like that.

The other thing you say is that .. because the first fight was one-sided... Ward should not travel.

    Huh?

Because that would make it more even?

If it was one-sided then there is no reason to have it in the same place again. Who wants to see that?

If it was one-sided in the US, then at least give Ward the burden of traveling and getting out his passport this time.. to make it more even and exciting.

    ............

That is was one-sided in one location certainly is no reason to have it in that location again.

Nope. Kessler's purses are determined on a fight to fight basis.

Wrong again. He fights on PPV in Denmark so he does not fight on regular channels that can easily be watched in Denmark.

    Michifag fails again and again.
