He's boring as **** and sells no tickets fighting in his hometown. The superfight with china Chad sold about 8,500. Froch and Kessler would sell more than that shadowboxing in their hometowns. Ward-Froch II would pack out a 30,000 football ground over here. If it makes dollars it makes sense.

well, looks like the tide has mostly turned. Before there was alot of hate about Ward getting Hometown advantage all the time.... but going back to reality...
exactly what does that get you if he has won all his fights convincingly?

Its not like you'd expect a fighter to perform better in a particular location....
Or maybe it is that way mentally for him. Mebbe for Ward, it is very important to have the hometown crowd cheering for him. And that he's willing to shave his purse to make it so.

Thats the only thing i could think why he's so insistently wanting to fight in Oakland. Mebbe he's also trying to boost the economy there with his fights, trying to give back, who knows?

I wouldnt mind seeing him going to Denmark and beating up Kessler. But then again, guess it's really not necessary at this point cuz about 85%+ agree that he'd win there anyways.

Think it would be a great fight in England vs Froch....

Ward would have been DQ'ed against Kessler anywhere but jOakland. Fact.

I doubt he shaves his purse, but that's the only place he can draw more than 5K people. Fact.

Froch-WardII is not remotely as interesting as Kessler-WardII. Froch was dominated while Ward had a broken hand and it's not like he was shafted by officials. Far from it actually. One of the judges had the fight much closer than what it really was.

So if you think Froch loses again, do you want to see it a third time, a fourth? So tell me you are clamoring for Cotto-Mayweather 2 in PR or Hatton-Pac 2 in the UK. Hey if you want to see a guy get dominated again because it would be awesome thats on you. Most people want to see return bouts where the first fight was competitive. I bet you are waiting to buy your tickets for Martinez-Chavez 2 because Jr was competitive for about 30 seconds of a 12 round fight. It's gotta be in Mexico though right? Ass clown....

The irony is Ward told Bute he had to leave his hometown to take on better names when he openly ducked him.

IDK about Ward saying Bute had to leave Canada. I'm under the impression Ward said Bute just needed to fight some better oppostion. When he did he got smashed. I have no doubt that had Bute beaten Froch, Ward would have fought him. Bute challenging Ward, who just won the S6 is like Broner wanting a shot at Pacquiao. Bute like Broner has a couple of nice wins, but none that say he deserves a shot a Pac until he beats a few more top level guys.

lol, i love how you ATTEMPT to sell your personal speculation as fact....

And yes, he has had taken smaller percentages at the concession tables in order to get the Hometown advantage. He did that for stages of the Super-6 tournament. That was plainly revealed on their Super6 specials. Funny to see later on, some of the promoters complaining about all the hometown fighters were getting wins...

Please let me remind you that no matter how firm you feel about your opinions, they are not FACT

How does a guy sooooooo boring wreck Froch easily and with one hand? Well, I guess it did get kind of boring watching the same thing round after round, where Ward was beating Carl up as Froch stood there dumbfounded wondering what to do...

His style - hit, headbutt, hold. You can't honestly say it's a good style to watch.

To be honest if he wasn't concerned about home advantage he should leap at the chance to fight in Nottingham or Denmark. His last fight did 8,500 tickets ffs, he could use the pay day.

That's funny, hit, headbutt, hold. That's not what I watched. I watched jab, get inside, land repeatedly often with no return fire because Froch has no clue whatsoever how to fight on the inside. Carl looked as confused, uncomfortable and out of place as a gay man in a whorehouse!!!!

Can you explain how "home advantage" helped Ward? Ward is from California, Northern California to be exact. Ward dominated Froch in New Jersey, which is allll the way across the country. Ward isn't from Jersey or even the East Coast for that matter, so other than being American, how did that affect the outcome of the fight? Froch got beaten up, and beaten up easily. The better fighter won, which is usually the case in this sport, regardless of venue.

How pathetic can these Ward-stans be? They didn't see Ward being a dirty headbutter using dirty tactics aided be the most biased referee of this millenium.
