what if he was doing some kind of 5 hr training before and just hired a coach that is linked with PED's?

But he wasn't doing any training, and he didn't hire a coach. He just has that.

Look, I can see your mind is made up, and that's fine because so is mine (in the light of negative actual evidence). I would expect a former lightweight training to become and remain a welterweight to gain muslce weight and definition.

It is possible that every single, or any given, fighter who has ever fought since 1930 has taken drugs to be better. I acknowledge that slim possibility. But I also say I am utterly sick of people looking at a boxer's body and associates and drawing conclusions. It seems silly to me. I suggest that there isn't a single "in shape" boxer that doesn't exhibit changes in body composition, existing indications in body condition, surrounding factors (including head-size, apparently) that couldn't lead one to believe that he was abusing the system. That doesn't mean they are.

so it was his genetics and why use it as an analogy then?

If McGrain's butcher has Usain Bolt's conditioning coach then he's definitely on the gear.

If a 39 yr old suddenly had a big jump in physical development in a short period of time and after working with a well-known PED's coach I think it's justified for people to have high levels of suspicion.

    are you kidding?

    Listen to me:

A fighter training to gain muscluar weight could achieve that type of definition without abusing steroids IMO.

If you can't live with my having that opinion, I don't care.

Yeah and they're all on the gear. Just ask Marquez's trainer, he says so himself. And he should know, he's supplied them.

Read that interview, and then bear in mind that this guy works with Usain Bolt

I am really confused. You seem super, super serious about these Inspector Gadget style diagnoses - diagnoses of ingestion - based upon body type, but when confronted, rather than deal with salient points about fighters pre-peds developing similiar "tells", the point that Marquez is now 17lbs of muslce north of his ideal weight division and the fact that he has been trying to add that muslce in a professional manner 300 days a year since 2008, you have obsessed about an off-the-cuff remark about my butcher.

I apologise for it profusely. When I mentioned him, I foolishly presumed that everybody reading that remark would know that he wasn't training six days a week with a coach known for prescribing performance enhancing drugs. I will go back and edit that post to reflect the truth of the matter.

Yes, you are entitled to your suspicions. So is every other poster that has posted on almost every other top fighter all over the forum accusing different fighters from Wladimir to Ward to Khan of abusing drugs based upon the muslces that these professional sporstmen have developed.

Personally, I'm not surprised to see them - or my butcher - develop exceptional musculature in areas they use repeatedly, daily, whilst they are not battling to keep their weight low.

But I'm old fashioned like that.

I take you point, there is every chance he is using something.

My issue is with people looking at a slightly muscular boxer and immediately deciding he must be on steroids when that clearly isn't the case, it is very possible they improved their physique naturally.

But I didn't say sprinters are clean did I you utter idiot.

You said gaining muscle mass would make a person slower and less explosive, I cited sprinters to point out that is not necessarily the case.
