It was a clear UD. But I'll agree it was a good competitive fight. There were many rounds that Froch won or made close and Ward never broke his will. At the end of the fight it was Froch dictating the pace of the fight. People forget this last point very easily and conveniently.

 

Ward having one hand and Froch being desperate have something to do with it?

I definitely would never argue this point. And I agree Ward having one hand had a lot to do with it. But it was more then Froch Just being desperate that got him back into that fight. The truth about Froch is that his physical toughness is beyond elite level. He really is a hard hard guy to fight. Even if your winning rounds clearly on him he grinds you down and wears you out. Froch had more left at the end of the Ward fight with or without the hand. I'm not saying Froch was going to KO ward in a 13th round or anything like that. Ward is obviously savy enough to find ways to stay in fights or to nullify his opponents work. But the point I was trying to make was that at the end of the fight it was Ward who was looking for the bell more then Froch. He should at least be given some respect for that.
