fair enough, poor Chris sandow won't make a tackle next year without the shoulder charge. Have they said how the rule will be enforced? Is it like rugby wereyou have to make the effort to get the arms around?

 

You think if you went for a job with birds eye and you couldn't name any of their products, didn't even have the decency to do a little bit of research, they would give you the job?

His first love is rugby union, the enemy of league. How will he have a vision to expand league which will be at the expense of the sport he loves? He has probably given out of his own pocket to support union causes.

This is cultural cringe and all this guy is after is a pay check.

The first thing a cashed up nrl does is give their money to a union guy. It's dumb.

A union guy?? They were going to give it to an AFL guy first, he was goingt to be first choice, this bloke just played Rugby Union, he's never run the ****ing show & coming from Wales you'd expect he's into Rugby, but so what?? He's a businessman, as long as he gets the results & keeps the cash coming in & uses what we have wisely thats what matters most, a good CE O delegates & listens to experts so when it comes to making decisions i'm sure he'll have all the information he needs & he doesnt start until ****ing february

 

Hi sir, maybe you don't understand cultural cringe but it means when you feel your culture is inferior to the culture of another.

Examples are when Australia first got TV they had presenters with English accents or they used to import English or American actors when they made Aussie films. It's the belief that your own kind aren't good enough.

I would be upset if they got a guy with AFL or Rugby Union or soccer background. It's been done before and it's a failed experiment. They have no feeling for the game or what should be done with it and they will look at the bottom line to justify their position over what benefits the game in the long run.

It's a dumb decision.

Do you have a case of cultural cringe?? only you can feel it, i dont think anyone else in this global society feels strange about the appointment on the basis of nationality or on the basis of a sport he used to play, a sport which is finacially & culturally inferior in Australia, perhaps you're concentrating too much on the percieved class divide between union & League, this is a somewhat antiquated idea in this day & age

Lets see if "the experiment" fails before condeming the man, he clearly has all the attributes to run a Billion dollar concern
