Was Broner's interview tonight this generation's "Fade into Bolivion"?

And before the predictable "Haters keep hatin'" comments roll in, I actually for some ****ed up reason don't despise Broner and would like to see him do well. But good God that was a ****ing terrible quote.

 

Broner is a good fighter but he has no charisma in the talking and quote department.

Floyd eventhough he stutters and mumbles, he makes sense.

Muhammad Ali was the best at interviews and talking and rhyming and giving out quotes, they are well timed and smooth.

 

i think he is quite funny.

 

He's not funny at all he's an complete idiot. I love watching the guy fight but don't want to hear him talk. It's pathetic.

 

He is a ****ing herb. His nuthuggers say he has charisma yet he can't even get his dumb ass lines out without stuttering.

I agree but I see why he's doing it. No one outside of boxing gave a **** about Floyd until he started his shtick.. Ditto for Roy Jones. Right or wrong, it seems that's what American black fighters have to do to crossover. I don't begrudge Broner for recognizing that early and monetizing his career from the word "go".

Do I like the shtick? Not really.


Andre Ward for all of his skill and great wins (not to mention a Gold ****ing metal) isn't exactly a star. Guarantee you he would be (for the wrong reasons, but whatever) if he acted like that.

 

Nothing about the guy reminds me of PBF, his dressing style reminds me more of Zab Judah, with the mouth grill and all.

And the charisma between PBF and Broner are no where near the same

 

More people are laughing at him than with him.

 

And then calling those who do criticize him, racists, that wouldn't say the same thing about a white boxer.
