Stop with the FOTY Bull**** w/ Guerrero vs Berto!!! Don't forget

why cant it be this? guerrero vs berto both beat each other's brains out and both got bust up eyes and broken nose and both hurt each other soo freaking bad. this fight imo is tied or maybe alittle ahead of rios vs alvarado.

 

Nah, I actually liked this one more.

Though it's a toss-up, both should go down as some of the greatest fights ever. Top 20. Though not exactly the cleanest.

 

Salido-Lopez II, Alavarado-Herrera, and Viloria-Marquez were equally good in their own right.

 

I liked the fight tonight more, but its like saying what art is better it just opinion.

 

Not FOTY not even close, but it was a great fight.

I give tonight's fight the edge because of the match up. No one would have believed that the Guerrero would fight that kind of fight and win.

In both fights, the "smaller" fighter walked through the harder shots and inflicted more of the damage.

I don't think there's a wrong answer with one or the other. That one ended in a stoppage (which is a huge +), but the drama around this one was more captivating (to me).

 

if you erased rds 3-6 it was a really good fight - but foty - not likely

for me figt of the year was - salido-juanma 2 closely followed by rios - alvarez - i was so pumped i could hardly even sleep after those.

 

This fight was impressive because of the heart displayed. But in all honesty it was an ugly mugging fight that the referee did a ridiculously shitty job trying to control. Old,blind and obese he should not get another assignment like this again.

 

Guerrero fought a smart fight. I'll give him credit for that. But I think it was actually predictable that he'd fight that way considering it was how victory ortiz and collazo both had success against Berto. Berto is a no technique wild clubber and if you don't give him the room to get his shots off and keep him on his back foot you're safe from his wild ****. Berto can't fight on the inside. He doesn't know how to control his opponents, or protect himself. The only punch he could land was the upper cut but RG tasted his power and decided that he could take that ****. The rest was just being a better more skilled fighter. True pros know how to fight on the inside and sorry to say its a huge whole in berto's game.

 

I agree, this fight has one of the shittiest fights of the year. You had one fighter that was hold the whole fight and the other that wasn't even throwing punches. Horrible fight

 

It was a good fight, probably top 5 but definitely not the FOTY. Kellerman just loves to blow things out of proportion. Everytime there's some action he's like "we are witnessing something special".

 

He says the same thing every other fight. Its like he has never gotten comfortable and relaxed in his job chair. Just call the fight and stop over-reacting dammit!

It was an ugly clinch fest but the amount of drama made it worth watching.

Props to both fighters and more so to The Ghost who proved me(and many others as well) wrong tonight.
