He was born in England as his parents were there briefly. Doesn't make him English.

Welsh mother and Italian father. There is no English in his family.

These are words spoken by a true fanboy.

I hope you find peace within yourself eventually.

I'm 32 and have seen a lot of great fighters, I'm no fan boy. Best post-war Brit and a legend. End of conversation, have a nice day.

Its a realistic viewpoint, far more realistic than calling him the best British fighter of all time that's for sure.

Good fighter but not great, massively overated by Sun reading types who see him as some unbeatable God like figure.

Really? I read the Telegraph, I'm educated to Oxbridge level and I rate Calzaghe the best British boxer I've ever seen.
I also laugh when I read absolute bull**** written by jumped up nobodies such as yourself.

:lol:I was once a huge Calzaghe fan and believed that he would have beat Roy Jones Jr. Ive cooled a fair bit since he retired but to call him a fraud and then claim it to be a "realistic viewpoint" is laughable. A "realistic viewpoint" would be to say for example "yeh that Calzaghe was a very good / great fighter, but he could have achieved so much more". Your debating a subject where the other poster has the polar opposite opinion to your own. Im not sure what makes your viewpoint of any more value than his, see what im saying?
