That's some Dundee , "You're blowing it son" **** right there. I'm back on track.

To use McGrains own Scottishability against him, a great example of generalship from a not great fighter.

    BAM! That's it, son.

McGrain depends on being Scottish. It's his bread & butter, his haggis & black pudding, so to speak. Beat him to the kilt first and suddenly he won't know what the hell's going on!

Why couldn't you just not reply? Maybe there's an inside joke I'm missing...

Anyway, through readings alone, Benny Leonard was probably the greatest ring general. (Aside from Sugar Ray Robinson, of course.)

From what I've learned of Packey McFarland, he deserves a mention. He lost like just a handful of ROUNDS during his 100+ bout career.

The thinking man's scottish ring general. If you look close enough you can still see the flame of human intellect burning dimly behind those eyes.

You have seventy posts and one month under your belt.

Any questions you have for me can be directed to lora at this time.

There's no inside joke. When I first got here I thought McGrain was Irish and said stuff like hey that George Best was really a good footballer. Things went downhill from there...

    Larry Holmes,,,,,,

Watch the way he moved Muhammad Ali all over the ring, without throwing a punch.
