I like Fury, I love his attitude in the ring and I find his fights exciting (if not always technically the best). He is one of the only active heavyweights that almost guarantees entertainment, and I'm looking forward to his fight against Kingpin next weekend far more than Pricey versus Skelton. I also think he has made big improvements with his style over the past eighteen months and there has been noticeable differences in each of his last few outings. Despite all of this I don't think he has anything other than a punchers chance against Wlad at this moment in time. Love him or loathe him IMO Wlad has become a very formidable fighting machine and with the exception of his suspect chin he is a pretty complete heavyweight. With regards to the chin the improvements he made under Manny have made a huge difference. I think Wlad beats Tyson quite convincingly, although I am almost certain our man will go down fighting in a very entertaining contest (as long as it lasts). The fight is too early for Tyson IMO, and I just haven't seen enough from him yet to tell me otherwise.
Fury is clearly a good HW, but there is a gulf in class when comparing him to Wlad. I think it would be lights out fairly early if the fight gets made. Hopefully Price v Fury next year with the winner to fight Haye. That would be massive..... Although it'll never happen.
Why? so two of our 3 best heavyweights get wiped out? I hate this desire of british fans to see our guys fight each other, especially if nothing is at stake Let Haye fight Vitali, then maybe one of them fight him for a title, and the other one continues to climb the ranks
Nice post :good I would like to add as well its good Tyson has tasted that canvas a few times he knows what its like to be hurt. If you watch all them punch's that took him down , they were full on shots. That can only prepare him well for the future... Just imagine you go all the way to the top without hitting the canvas bit of a reality check when you do and prefarebly not when your facing Top heavys like wlad.
I TOLD u to watch vids of wlad when he was 24 the difference is ****ing astronomical, and u cant say it is because fury is much bigger because he isnt really

Sadly though, the loss IS the end of a career, or at very least a massive setback I've said it before and i'll say it again, when do you EVER see two young, unbeaten american prospects face off with nothing at stake? You don't, because they are better at promoting than we are. You wouldn't have seen Dirrell and Ward fight when both had 12 fights Put Price in with Fury, one of them gets ko'd and called a glass jawed fraud, the other one carries on exactly where he left off and what you got?
yes but this is the heavyweights remember they are neither american or white, therefore the american media will literally slate them for anything The americans wanted wlad's career to be over over a few petty losses, 1 in which he just got caught cold and wasnt prepared mentally to deal with it (underestimated the opponent, and getting caught can and has happened to anyone), and the other two where his opponent was a human punch bag until wlad gassed/had a fit and fell over god knows what stick he would get if he actually got genuinely raped in a fight, they hate vitali and he hasnt even lost a fight in which his opponent won on merit
I don't mind a Fury/Wlad fight because at least Fury will come to fight. Thompson, Haye, Chagaev, Rahman, Ibragimov and Mormeck all did very little to win. Not one of them threw caution to the wind for a decent period in each of their fights. Fury, for all his faults, will turn up with the attitude he'll either go out on his shield or he'll beat Wlad. When people argue the merits of todays heavyweight division, they should think about the complete lack of heart most challengers have. They don't lose purely because they're outclassed, they don't even try.
The only chance Fury has of winning is if Lirva posts a 'Put you mortgage on Wlad beating Fury' thread. If he doe's that then i'm lumping on Fury!
He also had an amateur record of 134-6,Fury had about 30 AM fights. So it's no surprise that Wlad was/is obviously alot more technically sound when he came from that AM background for **** sake. Fury is learning on the job and he's not doing too bad atall.
