you ****ing moron Lewis fought the same guys that Tyson did ... AFTER Tyson beat them and Tyson beat them when they were closer to their peak Lewis couldn't even handle Tyson's sparring partner Even post prison Tyson was fighting guys closer to their peak than Lewis was
What did Lewis do to Holyfield after Evander beat up Mike to the point where Mike had a psychotic episode in the ring?
Really, did tyson fight: Vitali Klitschko David Tua Ray Mercer Hasim Rahman Shannon Briggs Nope, Tyson ducked those fighters, and instead fought cab drivers and bums. Tyson has 0 great wins, he is just an American hype job and drama queen.
Lewis arguably beat an old Holyfield who struggled to beat John Ruiz, got a gift against an old Mercer who couldn't even beat an old Holmes, was KTFO by Rahman, and was rocked by a complete BUM in Shannon Briggs. He struggled against Frank Bruno who Tyson demolished in 3 rounds ... he fought Frans Botha after Tyson, coming back from a long hiatus, already brutally KOed Yes ****tards, Tyson was actually winning the round up to the point with the biting incident ... Holyfield's headbutts and cheating tactics were being permitted so he retaliated.
Tyson's head movement in his prime was excellent. He showed against Holmes, Thomas, Bruno and Tucker that it took more than a jab to keep him off you, because he could slip a jab in his sleep. But Lewis was much more than just a good jab. He had the uppercut, could fight decently in close for a big man and the ability to tie and opponent up in close. Which is why I have always had difficulty picking an obvious winner between Lewis and Tyson. It would take more than one fight to prove who was superior in their primes. Wlad is another matter. He has only one game plan, he would dominate from the outside and then clinch on the inside, there would be nothing but the jab to control the range and keep Mike off him, which simply isn't enough. While he can outbox Tyson I can't see how he copes with an opponent who is faster than him and who could take a good shot and fire back in combination. He can't keep Tyson at range all night at some point he will be forced to trade and whenever Wlad has been forced into that situation he has come undone. Best case scenario for Wlad is a performance much like Tyson Vs Tucker but with Wlad not going the distance and getting stopped late. Worst case scenario is Tyson lands big early and ends in inside 3 rounds.
Lewis had a good uppercut Bomber but so did Tyson, he had the whole package and applied it all. Speed ,power , combinations and defence all factor over Lewis had at his disposal.
And the massive physical advantages Lewis had over Tyson? Height, reach, weight? And well able to use every one of those tools
Lewis was in great shape. Mike floored him 12 years past prime. I dont rate size over pure boxing skill. Lewis was good but back then Mike would of gotten to him.
