youre not allowed to pre match fighters...? or are you in a non olympic org? and 20anus.....SOAP! THAT SHOULD SCARE THE POMMY ****ER OFF.....
. Really? So fighters travel all over NSW to tourneys in the hope they might get a fight? Only time that happens is at State titles. Most others are pre-matched. Thats why Boxing NSW (olympic organisation) has AMATEUR MATCH-MAKERS.
actually no, you cant pre match fighters in whatever org is in line with olympic selection. i know. my trainer used to pre match me all the time, but he told me it was against the rules. fighters must turn up at the venue. all trainers then put names, ages, weight and experience on the board, and the best matches were made. we'd have often 30 fights on the one card on one night. mostly i fought the main bout, and wouldnt fight till 11pm that night.
All aba fights are prematched now other wise people turn up and can't get a fight , matching amateurs is still like the pros with boxers trying to pick opponents . But generally well matched. Biggest problem is new promotors with $signs in their eyes and no idea putting on shows and stuffing it up . Some don't even give trophies!
That would be for the nationals, not a tourney. All tournament fights are prematched. And going by your reasoning, the olympic commitee are doing the wrong thing also. Do you also think olympic fights are not pre-matched?
no it was for ordinary tournaments held usually every 2 weeks. all the way from kempsey, to ballina and most towns inbetween, including bonalbo, woodenbong, casino, lismore, etc. kids from age 7 right up to seniors whould have their stats on a board and the matches were made regarding age, weight, and experience. that was the policy on the north coast of NSW. if the rules have changed, so be it. but im telling you how things were.....atsch
No, you were telling them how things are. " youre not allowed to pre match fighters...? or are you in a non olympic org?" patsch
i sent an email..he didnt know. he told me who to ring. the rules have changed. you CAN now pre match boxers. mike abra is the man to speak to. but i think it was his wife that i spoke to. as usual, she knew as much about the rules as her partner. so i was right, and wrong. just the dates were out of order....:hey
