Hatton's Career v Froch's Career who wins?

I made a poll on this a while back and everyone said Hattton

I said it then and i stand by it (ignoring the fight at the weekend) Froch has had a superior resume (by a fair distance imo), and is a superior fighter (if only by a small margin) than Hatton

 

Clearly Froch... although Hatton didn't have a super 6 tourney to compete in.... If he did, Im sure he would of won at 140.

 

Is froch going to fight in nottingham from now on? After only fighting 4 times away from home? Not even in any ones back yard too, apart from kessler.

 

cotto would ve destroyed him and witter would ve boxed his ears off...

Hatton had 1 very good win against an aging P4P fighters.. After that he had mediocre performances against average fighters.. Then he straight went up to the elite and got humiliated...

Froch career is far better imo.. While he did lose to the elite ( ward ) he beat a lot of good fighters like Bute, Pascall, Taylor, Abraham and had even fights with Kessler and Dirrel. Hatton didn't fought these type of opponents, while they were available, like cotto, witter, judah, Gatti, mitchell etc

 

Froch didn't win the super six. Ricky beat the champion at his weight. Urango would be a titlist later, Maussa was a titlist, beat Malignaggi....Ricky has as many top contenders, or not far off.

Quicker feet, better on the inside. Froch better jab, more awkward and harder to hurt.

 

Hatton ruled his division for 4/5 years, not something Froch can claim.

 

Just in terms of rating the victories,

I'd compare the Talor and Tzsyu fights as pretty simmilar imo

Urango could be compared to Glen Johnson

Massua, tbh i'd compare to Brian Magee or Yusef Mack, never rated him

Paulie i guess compares to Abraham.. maybe

Collazo was totally shot, I dont really think it rates as a decent win, it was an exhibition against a shot fighter with a bit of name value

Then Froch still got Pascal and Bute wins, a disputed win against Dirrell but i think he deserved it, and a solid showing against Kessler

Just imo but i think Froch is a bit in the lead now, and could accelerate with a couple more solid wins

 

140 was a crap division when Hatton "ruled" it, 147 was hot, but Hatton only ventured up to fight B level fighters or for paydays against the top guys

Never fought Cotto, Judah, even Mosley was do-able, Witter.

didn't hang around and take on Bradley, Alexander, Khan

He had a chance to prove it, but didn't

Froch takes the risks, and has to reap the rewards

 

hatton ruled 140 just as much as cotto did at that time.

 

Froch in every category, including being the better fighter.

 

Right now Hatton.

But Froch is a big win or 2 away from taking over, it's very close.

 

You make it sound like he was lining up elite fighters and taking them out one by one over the course of 5 years. I seem to remember it differently.

Name the fighters that are so much superior to what Froch has beaten?

 

Froch, just. There really isn't much in it atm, but Froch's career edges it.

 

It's close but I'd go with Ricky. Froch has never been #1 in his division. Ricky put up a good fight against Floyd who was P4P #1.
