    This.

Anyone can hold onto his adversary and arm punch.

    Where's the skill ?

Why pay these guys the big bucks for this ?

I was rooting big time for Robert, but i didn't enjoy the fight at all after the first two rds.

Robert was the one holding and eating the uppercuts on the inside for the remaining 10 rds. He was unable to make the adjustements to avoid the right uppercut but carried on because he couldn't win on the outside.

Where's the honor in winning by avoiding to fight, at all costs ?

If one wants to see real infighting, watch Duran vs Leonard or Calzaghe vs Lacy.

Show me where these fighters got repeatedly hit with the same punch on the inside as Robert was.

Even Hatton or Molina would from time to time create space between their clinches to make room for punching.

Robert just wanted to win at all costs, even against a much diminished fighter who had only one eye.

    No glory.

  3. I was rooting for Guerrero and very happy he won but I admit it was frustrating fight to watch. I don't get how some are considering it as FOTY to be honest. It was a nice little brawl with exciting moments here and there but for the most part it was frustrating to watch. Ugly annoying fight and I'm talking about both.

I don't care for either guy personally, but this wasn't that great of a fight! The first KD was complete horse****! I know Guerrero landed a short left that stunned Berto, but since when are you allowed to hold a fighters head in place so you can hit it? Not only that Guerrero was hitting Berto anywhere he could while holding his head, back, side, top, it was ridiculous!! Berto went down as the result of a foul and by rule the KD should have been waived and he should have been allowed 5 mins to recover.

The second KD was iffy as well, Berto was hit with scoring blows then shoved to the canvas. Maybe he was gonna go down anyway, maybe not, but the shove was blatant and obvious.

As for the rest of the fight Berto let a ****ing blown up Lightweight bully and manhandle him all over the ring. Berto began his career at 160 for crying out loud and he let skinny Rob punk him like that!

Honestly though the officiating was TURRIBLE!!!!TURRIBLE!! How is Moret gonna let Guerrero hold and hit, but tell Berto he can't measure Guerrero with his right hand? Has anyone ever seen a fighter have a dialogue with a ref while in the middle of exchanging punches with his opponent?

I will give Robert credit for outworking Berto, but his little pitty pat punches on the inside were worth about 10 for every huge uppercut Berto gave him. Berto needs an overhaul and a new trainer. Whoever told him to try the shoulder roll should be fired ASAP!. As soon as I saw that, I thought WTF, and I figured he'd take an L trying something he had no business doing, and that didn't even ****ing work.

After this I won't be so quick to write Berto off or crown Guerrero just yet. I think there is still enough time and talent for Berto to be a player, but he needs a major CONFIDECE boost after this and a new team. I could have given him better instructions than his limp dick trainer.

Guerrero on the other hand still has some things to prove in my eyes. What is he going to do when that pitty pat bull**** gets nullified? Aydin had him grabbing and holding every chance he got, but he was too one dimensional to follow up or vary his attack, which consisted of a right hand either to the head or body.

All in all the officiating was terrible, mixed in with a lot of UFC man love hugging and wrestling, sprinkled in with some occasional good inside fighting, particularly those uppercuts by Berto.

The last half of Berto-Ortiz was just as sloppy as Guerrero-Berto. There was just as much mauling and grabbing throughout the last six rounds of that fight as there was in the fight you claim is the worst of all time. There were some serious shifts in momentum in the early rounds, and bursts if violence throughout, but the fight wasn't nearly as good as it was made out to be.

In much the same way, this fight featured clutching and mauling and grabbing, But it also had some shifts of momentum and some violent exchanges. It's not FOTY by any means...but then again, neither was Berto-Ortiz, in spite of what you or Ring Magainze said. :deal

What would your wise man have to say about that, sir..?

And, more importantly, would this wise speak in grammatically correct sentences that you would barely be able to transcribe...?:D

  12. I was live at the Salido vs. Juanma 2 fight. First fight I've ever been to and damn it was amazing.

Alvarado vs. Rios was brutal in every sense of the word but I felt the style of fight was dull at times. Big Bam Bam fan though.

And haven't seen that one man. Will check it out later today.
