Because even leaving aside the fact Fury isn't a big puncher, the fact Wlad avoids being hit cleanly a lot better than Fury does and hits hard himself makes a Wlad KO inevitable. This is such a pathetic view for a 'boxing fan' to have. You don't want to see good fights happening and fighters protected instead then? I'm assuming then from that you think Cleverly's road to becoming a 'World Champion' is the textbook one to take. I see someone has already proven you wrong with the Degale-Groves comparison where the loser's '0' going hasn't stopped them moving up the rankings. Burns is another example of a British fighter who has came on leaps and bounds since losing his '0' in tough early fights as a prospect. And forgetting British fighters for a moment, a lot of the top fighters worldwide have had meaningful fights (some which they've won, some which they've lost) before getting to World level and it's done them more good than harm. The logic behind keeping big fights on hold is what holds boxing back. The fact it's no longer a mainstream sport is because more often than not the best don't fight each other. Gamboa-Lopez was messed up by waiting, Mayweather-Pacquiao's appeal has long gone because the fight didn't take place at the best time. It's not good for the sport and it's a joke to suggest it is.
I think he has enough power to get in the ring with Wladamir, I dont think he wins but i think he would do alot better tan alot of the other heavyweights would on the world scene.. If Fury lands on Wlads chin flush will he just shrugg it off and carry on you think Fury doesnt punch hard enough to gain Wlads respect?
Potentially he does but honestly, I don't see Fury being able to find Wlad consistently and I certainly don't think Fury has the one punch power to turn a fight around. I think Wladimir would be able to establish the jab comfortably vs Fury and from there, he'd be able to dominate, grind down Fury and take him out. If Fury beats Johnson, as he should easily, he'd have as much right to fightWlad as anyone else I suppose. But the bridge in quality is immense and I can't see Fury doing anything that would overly concern Klitschko
If its true and it happens what the **** is everyones problem with Fury fighting Wlad.So what if he gets beat,everyone else has.If he gets his shot and takes the fight every credit.Price is now taking on fights he clearly doesnt need and he can do no wrong!!
He wont beat Wlad at the moment he is only young and has plenty of time. I think Fury in 4 fights time if every thing goes well will be ready to challange Wladamir and give him his biggest challange in years.. As for his power i think he has got one punch power and i think he will be hitting even harder due to his hard training.. Cant wait for saturday Fury looks in good shape and im expecting him to put a good show on..

My thoughts exactly. It's understandable why promoters want to protect their fighters when they are on the way up but it's just plain wrong to think that having tough fights as a prospect is bad for a fighter. It's usually what helps mould them into a very good or even great fighter.

I agree with this would love to see Price and Fury get it on but could the two promoters orgainise it , there are some politics involved with the T.V rights but im sure they will go to the highest bid. I think Tyson would have the fight in a heart beat but it is quite understandable why Fat Mick has swerved him..
I like fury for his character and spirit in the ring. But he's not got the technique or agility to ever be in the league that Vlad has been in the past few years. Frankly, nobody has been able to come close to that league. May as well go for it though.
