Doesn't change my view that he'd be top ten had he beaten those I listed.

I'm confused - Holyfield and Tyson are beatable but Shavers is not?

    He would have beaten them.

Well holy and Tyson were beyond shot by the time the fight would take place. We saw Byrd and Toney beat holy with speed without taking much in return.

Tyson was live for two or so rounds, as long as jones survives them he would stop iron mike around 5 rounds.

The shavers I pick over jones is the prime man who hounded Ali for 15 rounds before being robbed of victory.

So you would pick Shavers to beat an ageing Holyfield/Tyson I take it?

    Hmmmm good question.

I definitely favour him over shot holy. But in a straight up trade could he take the bombs being unloaded by shot mike? Williams could I suppose.

Yeah sure why not. Shavers beats shot holy and shot mike.

Speed kills. Tyson will be knackerd and every punch Jones throws he'll land. I doubt he knocks him out like Lewis did but a mercy stoppage is on the cards.

I tend to agree w/#1 although wouldn't go so far as to say Shavers power is laughably overratred :think Too many fans overrate the 70s & 80s HWs.

But not sure Jones wins. One mistake and Jones, who doesn't have the most resistant chin/jaw, is KTFO.

honestly, i agree that speed kills but the speed difference between jones and shavers is much bigger than between jones and a very shot tyson

shavers has less chance imo to land a punch than a post lewis tyson

    1. Ruiz is literally better than just about everyone on Shavers' resume.
    2. Comfortable at what weight? Jones would be at his prime weight of 180-185. Shavers fought plenty of guys around that weight.

Tyson is only live for two rounds by then. Shavers is live the whole fight.
