Why did no one tell Berto the shoulder roll doesn't work against southpaws??

People bring up Broner, but they don't realize how big Broner is. The guy is a HUGE lightweight. He was clearly the bigger, stronger guy in there with DeMarco. DeMarco was still getting shots through, albeit not nearly as much as Broner was getting his shots through, but they were having no effect.

Broner was too big and too strong, as well as being too skilled.

demarco fights squared up, he technically has no stance and shouldn't be compared to someone with the skillof the ghost.

floyd when he fought judah and corley had both his hands up.

Fighters who use the philly shell and the shoulder roll typically have a more difficult time avoiding the straight left that comes from the southpaw stance.

Demarco didn't have success becuase of a few reasons. Broner was a lot faster, had a longer reach and Demarco rarely threw combinations.

Using the shoulder roll from an orthodox stance, facing a southpaw...the straight left has the greatest chance in finding the mark based on the angle that's created when the two opposite stances meet.

Berto doesn't have the technique to pull this move off when facing a fighter with an orthodox stance, let alone against a southpaw. It's too late for Berto to add this new wrinkle to his skill set in my opinion.

For me, that was the most bizarre part of the first couple rounds. Not the fact that Berto was (sloppily) copying Mayweather's guard and stance, but the mimicking of Mayweather's facial expressions

Firt of all Berto wasnt coping anybody. If you knew anything about him you would know that throughout his career the philly shell has been his base style. And the shoulder roll doesnt work for anyone, or against anyone if you stay in that stance 30 mins a fight. Which why you see Floyd/Broner shift between the latter and high guard. They turn turn their torso to an angle so its simultaneous.

He should've watched James Toney vs Vassilly Jirov before he fought Guerrero. Maybe he could've learned something about fighting on the inside against a southpaw that's trying to smother you all night

He hasn't used it in a while and when he does doesn't do it like that, the way he walked his facial expressions and everythin was copy of Broner

Except, your rich boy dumbass, doesn't seem to understand that this is in the first round, and he was having success with it in the center of the ring, and not against the ropes.

What's sad, is that you're saying Berto looks like ****, when it is clearly working in this instance, but he is keeping his distance and using his footwork.

You never in your life been in the ring, so what do you know though?

Point being, that's when Guerrero started imposing his size, and forcing Berto back. That's how he managed to land his shots and bust his face up.

    Too bad you're a ***** boy.
