Out of the context of this its not a joke.

He should have pulled him out earlier

Rees hasnt had a fight since July so hopefully Hearn can still get him a fight in December.

8 Rounds agaisnt someone like Felix Lora would be decent. Then Abril in February.

Whats pulling Murray out of the fight earlier got to do with going on the **** in Ibiza?

Joe watched his fighter take a prolonged beating with a power puncher like Rios and didn't even give a thought to his health or well being. He was never in the fight. Everything he threw at Rios, Rios just walked through and pummeled him. Doesn't take a genius to realise he wasn't going KO him nor win on points. He was lucky to get the shot anyway and he should have been pulled out earlier.

I don't think Gallagher was at fault for the Rios fight. Murray was holding his own until the last couple of rounds, so it's not like it was a prolonged mismatch. He was losing the fight, yeah, but he had answers. It was a competitive, fun fight but Rios' strength, punching power and ability to take a great shot is what saw him through.

Hopefully Murray is alright. Every time I read about him, there's a comment about his drinking, so maybe that's why he failed his medical? I'm really not sure, but I hope it's nothing serious or worrying. I like Murray a lot and I want to see him be more active, and pretty much start again. Start off with a few no hopers, get a few wins under his belt and then steadily progress into a good fight. His career has been horribly guided on the whole.

Think under Hennessy his career was guided pretty well to be honest - did stall a bit near the end

John was fine and the stoppage at the time of which it was stopped was also fine. Murray was competitive enough.

Firstly, neither you or I know the cause of this failed medical, but it's more likely to be because of the way he most likely neglects his health, always drinking, partying etc, and just from reading a reply on Murray's Twitter, it could be because of alcohol.

Facial marks has no factor in it whatsoever. It's a boxing match, obviously he's going to get marked up, and John just tends to mark up heavily - a lot of fighters do, just watch Murray's other fights.

I've seen the fight twice and he had no reason to pull the plug earlier and from what you insinuated by bringing it up in the first place, is that this failed medical is down to Gallagher.

Let's wait and see what comes up.

If his medicals are due maybe theres an issue with his scans,
He wouldnt be the 1st boxer that had to stop because of what the MRI shows.

A few of my mates partied with him in Vegas at the Mayweather vs Cotto fight in May. They told me they were taking it with him, They do it and would have no reason to make it up because they are big fans of his and still are. They said him and his mates were wild but were a good laugh.
