It seems cheap and in poor taste to call the Haitian disaster a "lucky break", but in his case (or at least his career's) it was. A spade is a spade.

 

that's why i just laugh whenever someone would try to big-up floyd's win over ortiz by saying that he was ranked #2 at that time. the WW division during that time was not the WW division when it was waxing hot back in 2006-2009. proof is berto being ranked #2 when he has not fought any of the top WWs then. to be fair, today's WW division is still weak aside from timmy, a declining pac and floyd.

 

Andre and Vic were both thought much too highly of when they met.

Of course whoever came out on top was going to receive undue credit for it and carry astronomical hype.

It's like the Quickening of the immortals when they behead one another.
