“Trout has been a World Champion and he deserves his recognition. I know why I accepted this challenge"

“Training in Big Bear was great and we accomplished all the goals that [trainer] Pedro [Diaz] had for us. Everything so far is going just as he planned. I’m feeling great.

“Pedro has been a great addition to my career and for our team. Everyone saw the results with my fights against (Antonio) Margarito and (Floyd) Mayweather. Now, we’ll see how I perform against Trout.

“Trout is not the only undefeated fighter that I have faced. He is not the first champion either. With that in mind, I will climb into the ring to win.”

"I am really excited to come back to my second home. Fighting at The Garden is always special for me and a true pleasure. There is something unique in the atmosphere and it means a lot to me every time I fight there because the energy of the fans gives me extra motivation. Austin Trout will be a challenge for me, but I will win my fifth world championship on December 1."

"Miguel Cotto needs no introduction. He's a true champion and one of the best fighters of the last 10 years, but I'm the present and future of the sport and this is just the showcase I need to prove to the world that I'm one of the best, pound-for-pound. I can't wait to fight in such a legendary place like Madison Square Garden; it's every fighter's dream."

"I am a lot bigger, physically, than him. That was the first time I had been right next to him. I knew pretty much about his dimensions. But seeing it up close, it was funny. But it was cool. We kind of looked at him and we agreed that if we need to, we can definitely push this little dude around."

... "He looked me right in the eyes, and a lot of people don't do that for as long as we were in the stare down. I didn't expect fear. But I thought that it was funny that he really had to look up a lot to do the stare down. I'm 5-foot-10, and I would say that he's about 5-8 or 5-7."

Miguel Cotto: Everybody who knows Miguel Cotto knows that I don’t pick easy fights. He was the next in line and I’m ready for him. We’re going to see what happens on Saturday.

He’s fought in Panama and in Mexico but next Saturday he’s going to be in New York with me at Madison Square Garden. It’s my home and there is nothing is going to be equal to that. Madison Square Garden is a special venue and he’ll figure that out when he gets in there.

Austin Trout: There are 2 sides of Austin Trout: Austin Trout the fan and Austin Trout the fighter. I love to watch him fight but in the back of my mind I think that I can beat him. When I’m daydreaming about beating up somebody in front of a large crowd its one of those guys that I’m a fan of and he happens to be one of them.

My past experiences have not been on this level but practice makes perfect. The crowd can only do one thing and that’s make noise. It doesn’t help him punch harder or move faster.

Orriray, picking how a fighter is going to win the fight will determine if you get a ko or not.

So if you pick cotto to win, and don't specify how, you will get a win on your record, but without a ko. KOs show when you not only pick the fighter right, but also the correct way in which it ended.

The different outcomes being ko/tko.... ud.... or md/sd.

So you don't have to, no. But in order to get ko's you do.

Hope that explains it man :good

I should be 1 point ahead of Malden I was 40-11 Malden was 39-12 the only difference
in our win/loss picks is I had Berto and Malden had Guerrero that he won so unless their is something else I should be 1 point ahead.

    thanks kirk.
