    Why?

Vitali couldn't do it, no problem if fury cant

all that would mean is he doesnt hit any harder than the heavyweight champ with the highest ko% in history

Id pick Povetkin would beat Price now. Price is beating absolute zero's , how is anybody supposed to know how good he really is. He looked great KO'ng heavybags but even those heavybags exposed cracks in his defence. Povetkin is a solid fighter and would counter him easily.

I dont even know if Price beats Fury anymore either. Less experienced, 6 year younger Fury is fighting a far better level of opposition and has improved massively in just two fights.

I think Tony "The Tiger" Thompson is the wrong example.... Tony has a lot of experience, the same reach as Wlad, similar height, but mostly is a southpaw, with an high ko ratio.... he had the tools to beat Wladimir, and he wasn't just a bum getting his payday, he was serious, determined and well conditioned..... I didn't expect Wladimir koing him out so easy

Because Fury and his promoter keep saying how they will knock Kingpin out, "do a number on him" etc.. They keep making these grand predictions, that's what I mean with putting themselves under pressure.

I understand hyping yourself up and appearing self-confident is part of the game; all I am saying is Fury must be careful not to become too cocky in his preparation and boxing style. Cockiness can be the first step to recklessness.

Price would knock Povetkin out with few problems. There are lesser fighters out there who present a bigger problem for Price, but only because they are tough and can hit hard. Povetkin has neither of those abilities and would get destroyed.

Price shouldn't be linked with fighting world champions yet though. Even if I think he'd beat guys like Adamek and Povetkin, and he would knock them both out, it's far too early for Price. He should wait until he's had at least 20 fights before taking on a guy like Povetkin. He doesn't need to improve but there's no rush.

Ridiculous post. Even though Price has no problem putting away Povetkin, according to you he shouldn't take the risk anyway? What a contradiction. Not only that but lesser fighters than AP would be more of a threat?

What fighters has Price KO'd that you base this judgement from?

Oh now Price would easily knock out Povetkin? Interesting theory, I'll buy it when I see Price "easily" knock out guys like Adamek or Helenius which is probably more than one, maybe even two years away.

Until then it's just a theory, maybe even a ridiculous one.

I makes no sense they never fought and makes even lesser sense he still has the title if was ducking all these years. Geale got stripped after 2 months when he wouldn't fight his mandatory. Didn't Bonte claim they weren't going to rush into a Povetkin fight untill they felt like it? If they dont fight eachother next something is clearly rotten in denmark.
