Ward doesn't KO anyone decent. Strong body, elbows, and forehead, weak fists. So if it is stopped, it will be on cuts or similar.

Pavlik won't be stopped by Ward. If Pavlik is in shape, he has a chance. If someone gets stopped, it will be Ward. Still a 70:30 fight in favor of Ward though.

This fight is a win/win for Pavlik.
Win or Lose Kelly made it from Rock bottom to another championship shot.
    ^Thats a win.

    W/a punchers chance.

Ward will cut up Pavlik's face and probably force him to take another 6-8 months off to heal. This fight is like 95/5 Ward.

It's disappointing because I believe KP still could make for a good fight (Bute, Abraham), but this literally is his worst possible opponent. Stinks.

Anything can happen in boxing , but i highly doubt a TKO win for Ward will be the result . Ward is GREAT yes... But also featherfisted . BTW I would love too see how Ward would react to a flush punch from Pavlik .

I think it's gonna be another TKO 6.
Ward will be far too mobile, and far too strong for Pavlik.Pavlik is totally unproven at 168,he had a huge size/weight advantage at 160,but he'll be bullied by Ward at 168.
Pavlik will either be cut to ribbons,or his corner will throw the towel in.

I agree with this post. :hat

I assess Pavlik's chances to be about 5-7%. It would be huge if he dominated the fight and won by KO. But it probably won't happen.

This will depend a lot of Pavlik. I just hope he will not be ashamed.

I hope Pavlik puts in his best training camp since his championship days. Glad he's getting another shot at glory, but I think this will end either wide on points for Ward or a corner/cuts stoppage late in the fight. Ward is continuing to get better and Pavlik has declined since his peak in 2007/2008.

Hard to say since he trains away now. Many times when you are away from the 'old' circumstances and friends that foster the bad habits you can stay 'clean'.

Miguel Diaz started working for Kelly at KP's pro debut, and worked about 90% of his fights from that point on. Sid Brumbach, who worked the Marintez fight, was a freaking joke. The guy Kelly uses now seems pretty damn good. Cuts will NOT be an issue.

In 42 fights, Pavlik has been seriously hurt exactly one time, and it took him less than 30 seconds to get his legs back under him. There might be a 3 or 4 percent chance that Ward will hurt Pavlik.

Take off your rose colored glasses boys. Ward has flaws and makes mistakes, and no amount of denial will change that. At some point in this fight, Pavlik will check that chin with a right hand and a left hook. History tells us what happens soon after Pavlik hurts an opponent. Ward might survive one or two such encounters. If KP can land that nasty 2-3 four or five times, this is a done deal. Martinez is faster and less predictable than Ward, and Pavlik landed at least half a dozen 3-2's on him.
