A lot of good schoolboys & young amateurs, traditionally most of them drift away from the sport as they grow older, get married & have other commitments.

Frankham was one of the most balanced fighters that Ive ever seen, he judged distance perfectly

 

Usually amateur's and bare knuckle. They rarely go pro.

 

My old man was a big Finnegan fan & he really rated Frankham, said he was one of the best he'd ever seen live.

 

Big changes these days,lots more irish travellers goin pro in ireland and britain theze days ,they dont move around much these days and lives are alot less harsh than previous probably has contributed to this

 

Some real good young talent, too. I'm glad to have them in boxing

The two Frankham - Finnegan fights are certainly worth a watch :thumbsup

 

I trained in a Traveller club for 7 months and some of the lads in there were starting out as young as five years old. The head trainer was really focused on developing the young lads and it really showed. Some of them were excellent.

 

Im not sure that Mace was a gypsy, he certainly didn't consider himself one
