The guy picked up some real steam beating Ortiz and Vargas(you all know he won!). He is a very tall 140 pounder and would do damage there if he came back. I am wondering why after getting so much attention he has not scheduled a fight for a comeback.

Here is some fights I would like to see at 140 for him:
    Alvarado
    Matthysse
    Rios
    Garcia
    Peterson
I think he can actually beat all but Matthysse.

Has anyone heard anything about him fighting anytime soon?

Saw him sitting ringside @the Berto/Guerrero fight.
(Right behind the Watson twins & Broner & Mares)

As far as what's next good question.
    Anyone???

I like how he fights.. he's aggressive but at the same time he can take a shot... needs to fight more at 140...

He struggled to make 140 in the end and i recall him saying 147 is his natural weight.

Hopefully he's enjoying his two well earned paydays after a tough year, dude has some serious balls. ****ing came out and went after Canelo despite having no chance!

Hope he enjoys his rest and comes back at 140/147 fully refreshed and ready to go. Got a lot of respect for him and he's a true warrior.

I dont know about him struggling to make weight. I think that was said to make his upcoming fights not seem like much of a mismatch.

He never had a history of struggling with weight and going up to 147 he came in at 144 and looked out of shape. The guy has a body like Guerrero where their frame is thin so they can get in lower weight classes easier.

Outside of seeing him in the crowd at SoCal fights, I haven't heard anything. Hopefully GBP puts him in some decent, yet winnable fights in 2013. He took a bullet for them by fighting Canelo, they should try to build him up a little.

The guy can dominate 140 IMO and be fairly competitive at 147. Hell even with time and proper training has the height to go up to 154.

I feel sorry of how he was manipulated against Alvarez , bloated to 154 lbs.
Hope he goes back to where he belongs.140-147.A nice kid with a huge heart.

I think anyone would have taken that fight. No such thing as manipulation in boxing since money talks. Considering he did cause the upset I guess he deserved a big money fight but we all knew it was a mismatch.

He didn't even make that much money, he walked away with 200 K.
There was no need to make him go to war 3 months after another war against a much bigger man.In my book that move was despicable.

At 140 I would love to see Lopez vs Garcia. If he stays at 147, Lopez vs Maidana.
