These excuses are shameless. I'm a huge Ward fan but even I didn't like the excessive clinching. And he used to look a bit jittery when closing distance (maybe the cause for the headbutts?? Kessler was the only one I've heard complaining about it).

As I predicted, the more fights he gets under his belt, the less we see these things. As far as "holding and hitting," I was under the impression that a fighter was allowed to hit when a hand is free. Although, I could be wrong about that.

But claiming some type of hometown bias seems like a desperate attempt to discredit a fighter by fans who really can't find anything else to discredit.

I don't know any Irish people that say soccer, what does it say on your passport?

Nearly all Irish people say soccer.

Football in Ireland to me implies Gaelic Football.

It actually annoys me when I hear Irish people say football when referring to Soccer. It screams West Brit to me

It says Irish on my passport.

The guy in your profile was just as happy to fight at home.

When he was 28 and had 27 fights, how many times had he fought abroad?

    What?

He had a barring order from fighting in America?

Ward is the man. If he wants to fight abroad,he will, if he doesnt,he wont.

He doesnt have to go chasing people he already beat

Mate keep in mind that I am an Irishman from Belfast, before you decide to argue British national politics. I have to do it on every site I should visit

Ward has never lost a fight. Froch has lost 3. Kessler has lost 2. They both lost to Ward. Ward is a winner
