To be honest most Mexicans just think the kid was somewhat decent, but no where near world class level. Nice tribute to his uncle, but kid would have to have been close to prodigious to be anywhere close to the level his uncle was. Physically did resemble him, even wore his trunks and sported the nappy afro, but way too slow, some power, non existent defense or fluidity. Sal was de carita larga, had a longish joker-like face, face to face kid doesnt resemble him. For this kid to even have a zilch of a chance he needs to sign up at the Romanza gym. He's a tough kid tho, thats probably the only true Sanchez trait he has in his blood and he seems to like fighting. I hope he does improve tho.

:D Prime Arce takes Rojas to the cleaners, but yea, Rojas wasn't hurt by that knockdown and was ready to war with Arce. Arce is a shell of himself he'd probably get dominated by Rojas by mid-fight, BUT, since Rojas fights in a style similar to the old warhorse, Arce does better with come forward fighters like Rojas. I can see Arce putting down Rojas late in the fight like he did Vasquez Jr, who I think is much better quality than Rojas. Arce might win on a stoppage come from behind win. But the odds I think would favor Rojas. Rojas younger, more active style wins him more rounds, but I think Arce surprises and catches him late. Then he retires. :good

Nothing like his uncle in terms of skills. I've only seen two of his fights and that was awhile back so don't know if he's been improving. I have not seen Velez fight, but have not heard to many Boricuas talk about him when mentioning promising prospects from La Isla. So I have no Idea what to expect in this fight to be honest.

If you really think Oscar is straight.. then maybe. I say we are tied 1-1.

At least Cruz did not try to pay people off and just came out and said he likes dicks.

Sh it, Oscar makes cruz look like a man.

Mexico clowned Puerto Rico this past Saturday night only to have our Aztec warrior get robbed. So as of right now, there aren't any Puerto Rican born champs (**** THE JUDGES) since that belt should be wrapped around Burgos' waist.

I researched and came up with a list of all Mexican, Mexican-American, Puerto Rican and Puerto-Rican(Americanized) fighters. I believe the tally was:

around 175-200 world champions for Mexico.

around 100ish Mexican-Americans who were world champions

around 50-60ish Puerto-Rican and Puerto Rican (Americanized) world champions

    and

around 300 world champions for the US(that list included Mexican-American fighters, Italian American fighters, Puerto Rican-American fighters etc...i.e. ODLH, Vargas, Danny Lopez, Arturo Gatti, etc...

I will look for the list with the names..

every other country was not even close... plus, its been around 5 years since this list. maybe even more but less than 8 years...
