Floyd would not fight Hearns to begin with. I think Floyd has as much chance fighting Pacman as he did Hearns. It will always be a what if, unless Manny loses next week and gets wobbled. Then Floyd will fight him.

    Hey MAG,

What type of effort do you think Robinson would make to fight Hearns if they shared the same era?

Do you think Hearns should rate above Hagler considering their H2H was at Hearns third best weight class and that he beat top fighters at 147, 154, 160, 168 and 175 alike compared to Marvin solely building his at MW?

I can't see anyone beating Hearns at 147 & 154 until they beat him. This includes Mayweather. I see Hearns winning a decision.

Yeah, Leonard beating Hearns is probably one of the top three wins in the division's entire history, as well as all-time really.

Lol how old was hearns when he fought at welterweight? That should end this thread. your talking about prime Hearns against a 35 year old Mayweather. What division was Floyd in at 24?

The Hitman is good but he's terribly overrated. Back in the 70's & 80's boxing was still primitive and they didn't have modern nutrition and training techniques. Primitive dinosaurs like Hearns and Hagler would be journeymen today. Holyfield too small to be a heavyweight, he'd just be a cruiserweight in the modern game. Ray Leonards nutrition wasn't even modern for the 80's. Instead of the Fab Four they should be called the Fraudoulous Four.

Go back to the classic fool. :smoke

Nobody hits that hard. Did you see the way he hit Duran? He's on something clearly.

I respect everyones opinions but to even suggest Floyd would go the distance with Hearns is absurd . No matter how good Floyds defense is, he wont last 5 rounds IMO . Hearns would brutally penetrate Mayweathers defense and lay him out .

I would pick Hearns by KO but let's not act as if Floyd would have no chance. I mean Benitez went the distance with Hearns.

Absolutely. In those days PBF would have been lightweight or Jr. Lightweight. Even Jr. Welterweight would have meant fighting Aaron Pryor, another beast. Manny would have stayed at featherweight, for that matter.
