You seem to be a bit preoccupied with Price, why do you always mention him in Fury threads? You seem a bit jealous of him tbf :good

Anyway, Fury should have no trouble with Johnson at all. He doesn't have any big wins to his name and is only known for lasting 12 with Vitali, when he didn't look anywhere near winning the fight. If Fury struggles, it doesn't bode well for moving up in class in the future.

Johnson against Vitali was defensively very good, even if he stunk the place out with his performance, as offensively it was abysmal.

Depends how Johnson shows up, if he comes to do what he did to Vitali, the Fury fight will pretty much go the same way. A snooze fest and comfortable points win.

I reckon Johnson will come to fight, he sounds really up for and he has a great jab, this fight should turn out to be a slugfest, I just hope we don't have any hometown cooking and Johnson gets waved off early but I have a sneaky filling this may happen by the 5th round.

Fury will outwork him but I've got a feeling that he will rush in and Johnsons experience will allow him to catch Tyson and maybe put him down.

The problem with Johnson is he's had 3 weeks notice & he's not exactly a gym rat, as long as Fury comes through the first few rounds he'll coast to a wide points decision or late stoppage.

Think it will be similar to Fury - Chisora, Fury might get wobbled a couple of times but his fitness will get him through it

I think Furys skill set is very underated he can really put some good combos together, i see Fury winning this on points but Johnson is more than capable of frustrating Fury then bombing him out. It will be interesting to see if Fury keeps to his game plan when frustrated as **** because it is more than likely gonnar happen..

I fancy Johnson could do it. He was very negative against Vitali but Fury isn't as hard to hit or as good at making opponents pay as Vitali. Might have a little interest bet on Johnson stoppage.

If Johnson goes for it, then it will be a really exciting standard Fury fight.

I think he will start like that, then find out Fury's power is very much under rated and IF he survives, go into vs Vitali defensive mode.

Then as others have said, Fury walks a UD so long as he keeps his concentration. Which is a big IF.

    Lots of permutations and interesting.

But as I said earlier in this thread, I think Fury will come out all guns blazing and Kingpin will have not budgeted for his new power.

This is a great fight for Fury because he will probably learn more from it than all his other fights combined. A defeat isn't the end of the world for Fury as he's still very young for a HW and the experience of fighting a top class fighter is invaluable for when he gets his next chance.
However, I really rate Fury and think he'll have too much in for Johnson and will win a wide points decision despite a couple of rocky moments.

Where did he get his "new" power from? I'll be interested in seeing that tomorrow.

Lazy but sensible. This is my prediction too. I think Fury won't look as good as we might hope given the hard work he seems to have put in, bit that is due to Johnson, its a bad fight for impressing - even Vitali looked poor. If Johnson fights his usual fight then
Fury wins on points. The only other outcomes I see are if Fury gets careless and gets caught, or if Johnson really does fight aggressively... In which case he could steal a decision. This is not an easy fight by any means, big credit to the winner.

Edit: I think the least likely result is a fury ko win, not sure why people are calling that.

Not really. I think its an opponent with a name that doesn't match his true standing as a fighter. Former world title contender, Prizefighter finalist etc suggest he is good. In reality, he is small, overweight, overmuscled, ultra negative and has absolutely nothing to offer. Who knows what Johnson could be but his weak mind is currently holding him back.

Fury shouldn't have too much trouble spearing him from range until he folds. Johnson would be wise to apply himself and try and achieve what lesser fighters have and thats hurting and almost finishing Fury.
