The ref scores all non title bouts in the uk and raises the arm of the winner immediately ! ( go over to the winner and raise his arm immediately after the bout ). Why was this not the case tonight !!!!. That's what the board rules are , for all it's worth .
wow..what a circus.......fair play to freddie flintoff, he earned that....but my god, boxing is so so corrupt.......nothing against him becoming a pro boxer...nothing against all the press it got....nothing against the sky one documentary on it all....nothing against the outcome of the fight tonight.........but...it is wrong for a fight like that to be headlining an event with high domestic level seasoned pro's on the undercard....it belittle's boxing.....boxing promoters (mcguigan in this case) selling out for a bit of fame for the promotion company. i know its how it is...and always will be...but that side of boxing sickens me sometimes
I absolutely loved tonight, and well played to Freddie for doing it at all, but surely no-one thinks the little fat bloke was trying. He must have **** himself when he scored that knockdown.
Good job neither had hair, it would have been pulled out all over the place. Both fighters should have been given the OK to carry handbags into the fight, I would have preferred it to be bra and panties in a cage match on the set of Jerry Springer. I've seen better thrown punches up town with guys completely and utterly sloshed.
I agree Doug i really do. And if Flintoff got sparked by that punch and lay out cold the sport would look a damn sight worse to the public with there golden boy out cold and questions would be asked. He was utterly embarrassing. You wanna have one fight?. Go Amatuer simple as. But won't happen as money was there to be made..
That was not a fight, that was a sumo match. And to be brutally honest, f*ck all the people that enjoyed it and were entertained, real boxing fans know this was an insult to the sport and fighters gone past. 4-2minute rounds, I mean WAKE THE F*CK UP, this aint a joke sport. I could maybe understand it had it been an amateur fight or a one-off for charity, but a legit fight? Sad day for boxing for me. Serious.
What? You no pay for fight? It was worth every penny, also, also, also, Buncey and Lillis said it was great for boxing. So it must have been!!! I didnt see much though, I was rolling around on my back laughing. (and did David Price REALLY fight before Flintoff.... )
