KP is leavin for boxnard on monday. He is in descent enough shape already. He sounds like hes coming into this fight ready to win another title. Im excited to see KP back in a big fight. I watched ward froch again last night. Ward is a bulldog in tight. Hes stocky and he likes to be rough inside. KPs tough and can handle that game. KPs right is arrow straight and will get there early. I see ward squarin up and tryin lefty some time in the later rounds only to get KOd

I realize that praise has been heaped upon Martinez and he does deserve it. That being said he is a full class below Ward. If your counting on Pavlik having a good night because he is so much inferior to Martinez your the one who needs to change your shades. I will be surprised if Pavlik lands anything big over twelve rounds. This fight is a nightmare for Pavlik.

Did I upset you? Drink a Paps Blue Ribbon(the official beer of Kelly Pavlik) and settle down man.

Even Pavlik's normal supporters aren't sounding too sure in this thread.

The OP was very very astute in his remark Kessler etc would be more viable opponents. This is 100% a cash out by Pavlik's handlers & Pavlik.

Pavlik fans your boxer has just spat in your faces. He is only in this for his beer money now.

Pavlik would have opted to fight Chavez had he not been busted for marijuana, so he just chose to go after Ward instead.

Chavez 'claims' he wants the rematch based on one exchange. The further he gets from the beating the more he will convince himself of that though. Ward and Pavlik had slim pickings. Other than Andre Dirrell who had a fight canceled, neither had a ton of good options. Still, lots of posters seem to think this is Kelly cashing out instead of him believing in himself. I take the second route myself. I've watched interviews and you don't get to where he was without believing in your self. War Ghost.

Could be thinking of going out with a bang. I'm guessing this is Kelly's last big hoorah. Go for the hail mary pass what the hell. There's always that punchers chance. And no pressure to beat Ward cause nobody betting on you to win anyway. It's a win,win for Pavlik. It's Ward that's taking the risk. He's expected to win. If he does, fans will say "well no ****". If he loses it's devastating :admin Still, I'm betting Ward by 7th rnd TKO. (Watch for Ward's KO power to emerge as he gets older and bigger :good

Tell me -- smart guy -- what are Ward's flaws and most frequent mistakes? Give examples. What fight? What rounds?

I doubt very much if you've ever bothered to watch him with a critical eye. Go ahead -- prove me wrong.

Well, Andre Dirrell didn't really have a fight cancelled, he had a date cancelled. Never had an opponent, and neither Ward nor Pavlik can be bothered to fight a guy like Dirrell who has literally screwed his own career over at the moment.

I don't necessarily think it's a cash out fight for Kelly. Like I said, it's low risk/big reward. If he loses, well, no one cares as he was supposed to lose. If he wins, well...then he won the lottery. Unless he's thoroughly embarassed and/or knocked out, he really doesn't lose much from this fight.

Maybe after the fight he gets a big payday fight with Chavez Jr. ( a fight I suspect he would win quite handily).
