them left hands to the body that cotto was eating all night slowed his ass down, stop ignoring that Cotto did better in the late rounds against Floyd than he did tonight.

Trout manhandled and outclassed Cotto tonight.

Cotto is not a 154lb. fighter. Alvarez would knock him out as he will Trout if Trout ever fights him.

Trout got up and ran out the stadium when Trout was calling him out. LOL.

I made this 147lb idea a suggestion on facebook. We all underestimated Trout's superb skills and Cotto had a 5 inch reach disadvantage to contend with. His chin is also excellent. Cotto landed MANY of his famed left hooks but they had no effect. I don't see all this "Cotto can't pull the trigger" stuff. Cotto has a couple left in him but should drop down to 147, besides the names there are more interesting.

Plenty of good matchups at ww for Miguel. I could see him potentially fighting Bradley down the road.

I however wouldn't discount GB still making Canelo-Cotto next.

Bradley would destroy Cotto, perfect scalp for him.

I agree. I don't think size is a viable excuse for Cotto. Trout did his thing, and I'm proud of him, but Cotto missed key opportunities to make things happen for him. A lack of the right hand we saw against Margarito, a lack of combinations we saw against Floyd; just overall awkwardness.

that's what i saw too, but it could be from trout being a southpaw even though he has faced them in the past.

Them right hooks and that stiff jab had Cotto scared as hell. Plus he never adjusted to that straight left.

Guerrero and Bradley for Cotto would be terrific fights, in my opinion. Winnable enough, big enough money, title (Guerrero instated as the actual WBC man soon?). And interesting boxing matches, too, I think. I always said Cotto wasn't really a full-fledged 154 man. That's not why he was up there. And Mayweather isn't either.

Cotto still eats uppercuts though Trout did not throw as many.

Cotto looked terrible. I mean, did he come to fight or what? Where was the guy that gave May his toughest fight ever? Seriously, Cotto should either come ready to give it your all, or RETIRE!

He could have won this fight, was backing Trout down at the start and simply didn't work enough. Too old? Lack of motivation? :think

Hmmmnnn.... interesting cause both fights just happened consecutively this year.

Could it be that Cotto looked like that because of the opponent he faced?

Or is it because Cotto became a shell of himself after 1 fight away :hat
