Should they still make Canelo/Cotto on May 4?

Seriously i would still buy that fight. Cotto lost tonight but against a slick southpaw who came into the fight at about 170 lbs.
Matched right, Cotto is still exciting as hell.

Both man have loyal fanbases so i don't think that the big fight suffered too much tonight.

Gimme Alvarez/Cotto and winner fights Mayweather/Guerrero winner at the end of the year.

Canelo lets Rigoberto down every time he avoids Trout. Canelo has to restore the family honor.

It depends on floyd, if floyd stays at 154, Its Mayweather- Canelo

If floyd moves back to WW, its Canelo-Trout.

    End all, be all

No, but I expect that GB will still strongly consider moving forward with the matchup.

No. Cotto would get sent to PR in a stretcher after the fact.

    Canelo/Cotto or Canelo/Trout

Doesn't matter to me. Both great matchups. I agree that if Cotto is sized well, he can be in some exciting ass fights, that's for sure.

If Cotto fights the way he fought tonight against Alverez, he gets brutally K.O.'d.

Canelo needs to fight someone in his actual weight-class. He's becoming a ****ing joke.

Don't make weight excuses for Cotto. He was well over 160 for this fight I'm sure. He just got outboxed by a young hungry champ.

Canelo-Cotto: more buys, more money, more expensive hospital bill for cotto

Canelo-Trout: more respect for canelo, less money to be made

Canelo Cotto, who doesn't want a former champ like Cotto on their resume, gave mayweather his toughest fight of his carer less then a year ago and make a **** load of money and probably be an easier match up then trout or other highly ranked 154 pounders, Pr vs Mexico Cinco De mayo, $$$$

Canelo trout, who doesn't want a current proven champ at 54' in their prime to prove that he is on another level or the better man, money?? who cares the ammount that will coms from mexican fans alone is worth it and you get LEGACY!, Legacy is what matters Canlo wants to trump JCC, then this is a good way to start.

    Trout>Cotto

GBP is probably gonna take the Cotto route if Mayweathr is a no go, because they obviosusly care about money and less risk as showed with JLOpez.

Alvarez would KO Trout. They have similarly excellent footwork and boxing skills, but Trout lacks offensive ability which Alvarez has in spades. Trout seems like a smart guy so he'll figure out how to use his one natural talent advantage (size) but he'll end up on the canvas.

Alvarez-Cotto is the more interesting fight in terms of giving Canelo a challenge. Will it make a lot of money? Sure. But I believe that Trout will bring a lot of interest as well. It might be perceived better to take Trout.
