Dumb move by Cotto when he tried to prove a point by not fighting Pac for $$$. It's all the same job, just the $$$ is different. He won't fight Pac at 150 but he would fight Margarito at 150 . I can understand if Pac was Margarito size but Pac is much smaller, Cotto will have the size advantage clearly on his side.

Cotto makes up for it in the post fight presser. Give him a break. You just got your ass kicked and lost a big fight; you aren't going to instantly be in a talkative mood, especially when that annoying worm Jim Gray shoves a microphone in your face. I say as long as fighters show up at the post fight conference and participate in a lengthy, positive interview they should be free from criticism. Let's not be so damn impatient. Give them time to shower, dress, and gather themselves mentally before we expect them to make comments. It's nice when they stick around in the ring right after a fight but it shouldn't be mandatory.

 

I remember Cotto had no problem being gracious in defeat after Pacquiao gave him that terrible **** beating.

As for tonight, he stopped and said a couple of quick words, some of which involved giving credit to his opponent. That should be enough, really. Maybe it won't satisfy ESB's desire to hear the same banal question that he's being asked answered in multiple ways, but it's still more than he's obligated to do once the final bell rings.:deal
