Good fight, but man, I can't help but feel bad for Cotto. Hatton losing last week, and now this week sort of signals an end to the last decade of fighters.
Congrats to Trout. I really like the dude. Just a stand up guy. Cotto had a sweet career, hall of fame.
Damn.... I dont mind Trout winning, thought he should get the W, but those scores, just IMO, were simply wrong, and left a bad taste on an evening that should be remembered for Trouts performance (and ultimatly will be) Its just needless controversy. But this is boxing, since when isnt there controversy :-( I guess its better then having those scores for Cotto, but really, I thought it was a much, much closer fight. Anyways, congrats to Trout :good In the first 4 rounds I thought Cotto might pick him apart, but as usual Cotto faded as the fight went on, and Trout showed mental toughness by gathering himself and taking control of the fight. I felt it was very competetive and close, but felt the right man got the W. Trout was just too big and good enough to make it count. Well done.

This content is protected Austin Trout "Miguel Cotto is a great champion. He's a great fighter and it was an honor to be in the same ring as him. It's even more of an honor to be the man to beat him. To have my hand raised against a kingpin like Miguel Cotto is a dream come true." "Those shots that Cotto hit me with were strong and I knew he'd be strong, but it reconfirmed that take those shots. It was definitely the hardest fight of my career and when you fight someone as big as Miguel Cotto, it motivated me." "Give me Canelo - it's time to unify this division. There are a lot of good fighters out there and I want to be the best."

He fought until the end. I'm really thankful for all of my fans who were here to support me tonight. There's nothing like fighting at Madison Square Garden."

Yeah. I was hoping for a Fury Ko4 to then when it didn't happened, I was scared in the 8th.... Cuz that pick I kept it in mind. The Ko chance makes the WBK a bit more exciting. :yep
