I blame your mother. All that sex got Cotto's legs sluggish.

The guy has lost the passion, you could tell from his emotional state of wanting to be wid his familia

But as much as I like cotto, man needs to stop kissing everyone decor his wife on da lips, that **** is awkward! He even missed his fat slimmed down mate on his lips by grabbing/pinching them and landing one on them! .......shheeeeet!

Good luck with this thread.....Been there, done that 3 years ago. And I stand by what I said then. If he wasn't Puerto Rican (from the Island)...no-one would have ever heard of him!!!

Cotto was good but not great. He was better at 147, he looks slow and too small at 154 not to mention older. He moved up because he thought there were easy belts to win.

It shows that Mayweather as I said back then, is the master of the cherry pick. Cotto is a shot fighter. Margarito started it and then Pacquiao finished it. Mayweather knew that...cotto didn't throw against Mayweather at all in first 5 rounds, he looked shot and reluctant to fight, only doing something late when he knew Mayweather couldn't hurt him in same way as Pacquiao or Marg

Cotto should hang them up and Mayweather needs to grow a pair and fight Pacquiao Martinez at 154 or Canelo...anything other than that is a pure cherry pick

Cotto was a very good fighter but he's never been great. Margarito would have won the rematch by TKO had fight not been stopped, cotto was out of gas and was getting into survival mode even then...

That's because Floyd knows when a fighter is shot, it's why he retired when cotto, Marg, Mosley and Williams were all at WW and all at their peak or close to it. Mayweatherwould have had problems with all 4 back in 2007-2008 but he ran like he does so well in the ring. Let's be real now, most people not up Maywerhers ass knew Cotto was shot. Hatton was tailor made for Pacquiao as he has no defense, head first with a suspect chin, nothing to do with being shot...a brawler not in same league as a Morales was always going to be hit easy and go down with a Pacquiao left

He has a world class left jab and hook and occasional right. But overall, he is overrated. His

timing, footwork and athleticism is average.

Cotto actually had VERY GOOD timing, which made up for his lack of great speed.

He was a very good fighter, but in the end a bit too flawed to be great. And by flawed I mean he was always too hittable, his chin wasn't the best, he didn't have the best stamina, and although he had GOOD power and good handspeed, he didn't have devestating power and his handspeed wasn't anything special.

As Rican welters are concerned, he was several levels below the likes of Trinidad and Benitez.
