Just finished watching Eubank Jnr against Pryce, and although the scorecard was quite some way off the mark he won convincingly.

He does look pretty good; I've watched all his pro outings to date and I like the way they are moving him along and he is steadily improving.

He has moments where he shows some real ability; his uppercuts tonight particularly impressed me.

Couple of negatives for me are that he seems to perhaps lack power and I also don't like the way he imitates his dad's mannerisms.

What I was wondering though is just what is he really like?

Does anyone out there know him outside the ring?

I know boxers do put on an act at times, its part of the business, but he really does come across as very arrogant.

A couple of the things he said and did in the corner tonight certainly did look genuinely obnoxious.

I'm not hating on him here, like I say I'm quite impressed so far, but I was just interested about his actual character.

    Cheers:good

I heard he is quite an unsociable fellow.

i hear the same, sits at home playing games consoles most of the time, also the fact he immitates his dad especially in media photo shoots is laughable

I love having the interviews with him and his dad (I never get bored of listening to Snr, you just never know what he is going to come out with!), I don't mind if he wants to use the same ring walk music (brings back some great memories) but I could really do without the copycat showboating.

His dad did it, it was his own unique way, his son shouldn't try and copy, it just looks silly IMO.

I can't figure him out yet, he certainly seems to be obnoxious and arrogant but then again his dad is advising him and he knows how to sell fights; perhaps he encouraging to try and build the 'bad guy' image up?

He definitely has some ability though.

His Dad encourages him to showboat and has done for years. Might as well make millions from getting punched in the head, and the best way of doing that is to make some waves. I can't understand why some people don't like it. What is so much better about watching people without the type of showmanship that makes the sport great?

Anyway, tonight Eubank jr looked really good. Certainly better than some of the rave reviews on this site would have you believe.

I'm not so much arsed about the showboating (although I'd like if he saved it for when he's truly dominant) but the poor advice he's taking, Seems like a lot of people blowing him up at the moment. Not much in the way of improvement. You can't cover holes in your games with showboating, you need substance, we need to see cold, hard improvements, no amount of dancing is going to cover for the fact he's getting hit too much and not understanding that his dad had already honed his skills when he was playing around in there.

It'd be advisable if he didn't burn bridges in sparring too, as thats where you need to develop when you're this raw.

He is different. Seems like a bit up himself. Want to see him proper under the cosh in a fight.

He has good moves and a decent jab. His dad was knocking people out and appears to have had more pop. Still learning, but doing fairly well. The Pryce fight provided a decent step up for him.

Eubank Jr is quite possibly the most over-rated fighter in Britain, perhaps even Europe. He's living off his surname IMO.

Overrated by who? And his dad doesnt count.

Its not like everyone is calling him a future world champ.

Anybody calling him a future British or Commonwealth champ should be flogged to within an inch of their lives.

Eubank Jr is certainly talented, but extremely raw, he shows flashes of real potential then will make basic mistakes, give him a few years of developing and he can be a good fighter.

    Can't stand the ***** though.

Personally think he's being moved along too fast, I mean its great to see fighters moving at this speed but he's too raw and if he's put in with someone like Degale,Groves,Anderson or even Paul Smith and he could take a long drawn out beating.
