118-110 I had it. Showtime had a few errors in my opinion regarding their commentary early but the fight was closer, especially early than my scorecard would indicate.

Byrd should never be allowed to judge another fight. I agreed with Paulie.........

Scores were good. Showtime were all over Cottos nuts giving him way too much credit, Trout did a job on him. Trout impressed! He's legit.

I had it 117-111. Some people were fooled (especially in the arena) that whenever Cotto threw a blind flurry of shots he must be winning. I could see a round or two more going to Cotto but the 119-109 card was a little off.

Thats how I had it too.
Had to give Cotto 1,3,4,5,6. Trout threw more shots in most them rds, but was hitting gloves and eating a lot of L hooks.
Also, his punches didnt seem to effect Cotto when he was landing clean.

But yeah, the right man won. Scores were disheartening though as the judges gave Trout all 5 he won clearly, and all 4 that were close as well.:-(

I was thinking if Cotto could score a KD in the final 2 rds, he could seal the win......wow, was I wrong.:blood

9-3, 8-4, 7-5.. Cotto's missed shots stuck to mind more than anything.

My same score. Cotto showed heart and took some close rounds, but Trout outboxed him cleanly.

Get over with it. Cotto lost just as it should be that most didn't see coming.

Of course you do Farmy. After all, no black fighter has ever legitimately won a fight against a non-black fighter in the history of boxing, right?

Back to the real world, only Byrd's scorecard was off. The other two were good. There's no way in hell that Cotto won more than four rounds. I think that a lot of people's opinions were skewed by Bernstein and Malignaggi, who were looking for any excuse to give Cotto rounds. I like Malignaggi as a commentator, but that was not a ****ing draw.

Agreed. 8-4 Trout is how I scored it. Trout's jab and straight left to the body found a home all night. Was impressed with Trout and look forward to the unification bout with Canelo.

Right man won, that's the main thing. Cotto won 3, maybe 4 rounds. Trout fought a good fight, props to him.
