IF he fights the ghost instead of alverez Actually (any one else) and trout gets to alverez first that could destroy a mega ppv match between $may and alverez not to mention losing around 35-40 million for said fight
So IMHO trout just forced mayweather's hand into a bout with alverez well I hope so any ways what says you guys?

I wouldn't want to see Canelo fight Mayweather next.

Fight doesn't make sense at this point. Every fighter that Mayweather has fought was coming off a good win... Cotto (avenging Margarito loss), Ortiz (Berto), Mosley (Margarito) and Marquez (Pacquaio in a way).

Canelo needs to fight someone with a pulse before he enters the Mayweather sweepstakes.

That's why, a fight next between him and Trout is so right and in a perfect world should happen.

I think Steve Kim said Mayweather prefers going back to 147. Cotto was way too big for him, especially at this flat footed stage of his career.

What makes you so sure Alvarez won't turn Mayweather down for a second time because "he's not ready"?

walk right through him. neither floyd nor trout would be able to hurt him and neither one would be able to take his punches. trout would have a chance of outboxing him, but hes just not that good. floyd would get manhandled the way trout manhandled cotto.

If he fights "The Ghost"? Of course he'll fight him! He's getting called out by a Boxer from two weight-Classes BELOW 147. Floyd LOVES that! He'll make out that it's a 'pride' thing etc and then retire til the end of 2014, do the same again, and then go broke and lose his '0' in his comeback.

Marquez was actually coming off of 2 KO victories for the LW title when he fought Floyd. Agree with everything else though. Mayweather-Alvarez is something i wanna see in 2014, not 2013. Let Alvarez establish some real dominance at 154 first, it will make the fight way more meaningful.

Cotto and Mayweather are both undersized at 154. Cotto wasn't/isn't noticeably bigger than Floyd is. He was, however, noticeably physically stronger inside. We can only imagine what the strength differential would look like against someone like Trout or Canelo. Floyd would be smart to head south to 147 again. Golden Boy doesn't have anyone who can challenge him down there.

Guerrero has fought twice at 147. Both times out muscling his welterweight counterparts. That tired old claim being used by some on here including you should be put to bed.

If Floyd were to face Canelo next Spring. Can you imagine the excuses after he wins?!

    Canelo was green.
Canelo hadn't fought no one before.
    Floyd cherry picked Canelo.

The above are reasons why a Canelo fight is pointless for Mayweather at this point. It brings him nothing. At least Guerrero has a belt, in also makes sense as a tune up. For a bigger fight with Canelo hopefully in the winter 2013, after he's beaten a top tier opponent like Trout.

Here is what im trying to say since trout has just beaten cotto and has all ready called out alverez imho it would be a huge financial mistake to let trout fight alverez before he dose I.E (MAYWEATHER) cause imo even if alverez wins vs. Trout i don't think he will look good doing so and as such his stock will diminish considerably ANY one with me on this theory?:think
