David Price's stock gone right down?

I don't think so, I think people are being pretty truthful and fair on this.

Alls I've said is I am disappointed with his choice of opponents, fighting 2 guys in a row with a combined age of what, 87? I'm sorry but it doesn't impress me, especially when one is named Audley Harrison.

I'm not really underwhelmed or overwhelmed with how he performed, he handled them both fairly easily, as I expected, again that just adds to the whole pointless feeling of both fights.

I think what a lot of people are annoyed about is the fact that we can't really judge anything from these fights.

What more do we know about Price now than we did before these fights? nothing.

I expect he knows nothing more about himself neither.

For me personally, he's british, he seems a very nice guy and I want to get behind him but I'm sorry he needs to fight (and beat) someone decent before I start believing in him.

Until then, in all honesty, I'm gonna just laugh to myself everytime someone mentions him fighting Wladimir Klitschko.

There are lots of questions to be answered about this guy yet, his chin, his heart, his stamina etc.

We need to know the answers to everything before we even consider him to fight Wlad.

That's my take on it anyway.

 

I dont get it. So, Priceys stock goes sky high after beating a faded "name" in Audley in 1 round. But then goes right down for KOing Skelton in 2?
What would have kept his stock the same? A 20 second KO? What would have sent it up further?a 5 second decapitation.

Fury is the one calling out Wlad not Price, nobody is talking about Price fighting Wlad so don't know where you got that from.

 

I never said Price called Wlad out.

I said when people talk about the fight (which they have).

I had no problem with Harrison as an opponent and last night was just a title defence. Yeah it wasn't an awe inspiring performance but he got him out of there in 2 rounds and is now ready for the next step. If his stock has fallen I've no idea why, or what people were expecting.

 

I don't think I've read one comment by one person saying he's shite because Skelton pushed him up against the ropes.

So you can stop your mind from boggling now.

 

I think they'll try and get Towers next as he has a European title whilst still being domestic level. I don't think its so bad keeping him active but he needs to start stepping up and fighting at continental level soon.

I see no reason why he can't fight fringe level guys like Fury is but they obviously want to step him up slowly.

Chisora in may/june would be a great fight, and would sell 10k @ echo arena!

 

He is stepping up to that level in February he's fighting Tony Thompson then either Chisora/Fury in the summer.

 

Christ, at least Prices opponent was live & had a go. We saw little of what Fury would do under real pressure last night.
