    Do you think he could?

I dunno about that because the guy took a beating against Martinez and was hit by everything.

  6. No way in hell. I actually would put money down on Chavez (PayPal get at me) if the fight ever happened.

we may never know, because he is now picking on a junior middleweight with 5 losses next.

A KO with body punching is more likely than a head-shot one in my opinion. Chavez Jr's head is made of cement and he's naturally a much larger guy than Gennady.

The better question might be whether Chavez could go the distance.

Kassim Oumas a tough guy but got stopped on his feet.

Took 10 rounds so i think Chavez could last the distance.

He is a tough guy, but Chavez's defense is almost based on catching punches with his face.

GGG still 5 years behind Chavez.
By the time he is considered he will be 35.

I think Golovkin has that one punch ko power and Martinez's power is more accumulative.

But the amount of punishment Chavez took in that fight most boxers would have gone down from.

I do think Golovkin is far from unbeatable but considering the talent isn't there in the middleweight division i think he cleans up and beats everyone.

Someone who has speed will outbox him and outland him to a UD. Unless he catches them which is a high possibility he does.

Chavez Jr's chin held up well so far. Can't remember seeing him getting hurt a single time in his carerr despite being quite open. He would also enter the ring as a CW, so no, I'm pretty sure Golovkin wouldn't get the stoppage when he couldn't even stop Ouma convicingly. Sexy Sergio is a proven hard hitter and didn't come close to dropping JCC.
