Very good fighter, and an entertaining one. He was an excellent body puncher, he could box on the backfoot and also apply pressure. Not a big one shot guy, but a fighter with heavy hands who applied gradual beatings. Not a great fighter, but he was a very formidable one. While he lost clearly to the top two fighters of the era, he gave them decent fights and both of them were more banged up at the end of the fight than they usually were. Pacquiao looked afterwards like he got beaten in a mugging. I rank him a little below WWs of the past such as Ike Quartey, Simon Brown, and Marlon Starling.
Yeah, Cotto was far better than Berto. Berto just has some speed and pop. He doesn't have good skills and he's a dumb fighter.
