Bit of both, Heffron has no defense and pretty much zero power against a strong type like Vassell, first few rounds Vassell looked rusty but then he settled into his work and started putting a beating on Heffron.

Just read through the whole thread, what an idiot that Lance character has made himself look like, I wish I had seen this post before the fight, I would have gladly taken the bet and he could have ****ed off.

Vassell destroyed him, it was a man against a boy.

I blame Anthony Farnell for rushing the youngster into a fight that he was not ready for, telling him he was great when in reality he isn't, work on developing Heffron as a fighter rather than having sour grapes about Frankie Gavin tellin anybody that will listen that Heffron would beat him, dearrrr me....disgraaaaaaaaace!!

Rushing him? Are you stupid, We got offered the fight we talked about it first like always and Ronnie wanted the fight and it was one WE were confident in coming out on top, we took the chance it didn't pay off this time but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and Ronnie will come back better for the experience.

He took a big step up in class something not many prospects do now, Congrats to Denton he impressed.

Why was it Anthony's fault ? Ronnie wanted the fight his gym form was sensational and IMO the time was right Vassell had'nt fought in a year, Ive looked back on your previous post and all you have done is have sly digs like for instance saying Bellew and Gavin had some bad performances with Arnie, you forgot to mention that Bellew stunk the place out when he won the British Tiltle and then got the worst cut Ive ever seen in my life by a absolutely crap fighter, Gavin also won the British Title with a **** performance against a shot Junior Witter :good by the way go and **** yourself

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, I dont recall your post about Paul Butler being rushed when he K O Donnelly in the 1st round to win the British Title in his 9th fight

No offence intended, but the British super flyweight scene has no depth whatsoever.

    http://boxrec.com/ratings.php?sex=M&division=Super+Flyweight&country=UK&pageID=1

I'm sure Paul Butler will go to achieve great things, but winning the British title in his 9th fight in that division isn't really that big an achievement.

Ronnie was a great amateur but hasn't progressed as much as expected as a pro.
My mate saw him fight at 15 & said he was a beast but he's 22 now & hadn't shown much in his previous fights to suggest he would stop Denton.

It was a surprising choice, makes you wonder if FW saw it as a make or break fight & probably have a few down the bill fights now.

He can come back but needs to change camps.

As for Denton- great win, just hope he can stay really active now.

Everytime some1 from Arnies camp gets brought up your on here sayin they need to change gyms? You never say it when another fighter from another gym has a loss or bad performance? Strange!

Not really that strange is it?
Its certainly nothing personal but I think Farnell is still learning his trade and it would actually help him as well to bring through some unheralded lads from scratch.
At the minute he's had loads of great amateurs with plenty of potential but none of them have fulfilled their promise.

I don't think changing camps is always the answer after a defeat but its a long, long road back for Ronnie, and when he turned over he was talked about as a future star.

You seem well connected with the gym, what is his career ambition?
    Is he a full-time pro?
We've had threads here previously which have highlighted how little money there is in British boxing ATM, if he wants to make a living out of the sport he's going to have a break out fight and show some improvement on what he has shown so far.

Frank seems to really value the unbeaten record and he's going to have to work his way through the undercards(I guess).
I definitely wish him well and was hoping he'd win last week.

That's just my opinion obviously you disagree - but thats the nature of a forum - anyway I'm off to watch Barker.

One last thought re that fight, really pleased for Bob Shannon, seems good bloke.
