Just incredible. Foreman came back 20 YEARS after losing his worlds hwt championship to rewin the worlds championship a second time. This is a feat unequaled in sports history. Its akin to the 1974 world series champions getting back together and winning the championship again in 1994. ADD to this he rewon the TRUE championship not some IBF BS paper title that truly would be less than meaningful.

Moorer was the right opponent, Foreman didn't have a lot of wear on him, it wasn't unified... Blah, blah, blah... All true.

    Still, an amazing feat.

Moorer was the true champion. At that point in history unification was meaningless. Too many champions who should have never been and were not deserving to be called champion.

Really? Foreman couldn't beat Alex Stewart, Tommy Morrison, Axel Schulz or Lou Savarese... at least not without the help of judges who were bought and sold. Moorer was a pawn in a game, the perfect foil who himself had to go life and death with types of Burt Cooper, and was dumb enough to stand in front of Foreman when he was a far better boxer than Morrison who outboxed old George.

    A true champion my ass.

You need to know what your talking about....which you don't. Moorer beat Holy and with this win became the true and only legitimate hwt champion. Foreman fought Moorer and knocked him out for a 10 count......count could have been 100 and he was not getting up. With this win Foreman rewon the same championship he lost to Ali 20 years before. Show me another boxing champion in the history of boxing who came back to rewind the title after 20 years. Typically comebacks like this end pitifully with the old champion koed brutally. Foreman lost a few fights along the way but never embarrassed himself and more important never gave up...the major mark of a true all time great champion. Unlike fighters like Tyson and Wlad who both showed that at times courage was not their forte.

It was a incredible achievement xmsu.20 years is an incredibly longtime and twin so ething as prestigious as the lineal hevyweight championship that long apart is virtually unmatched in any other sport. It would be like Tim henmen coming back now and becoming top 5 in the WTP rankings

I'd give it to Louis' 25 defenses, if it wasn't for Jersey Joe pretty much getting screwed over in defense #24.

Still, Louis had another incredible achievement: knocking Hitler's claims of Aryan superiority TFO in less than one round:

*In all fairness to Schmeling, an honorable man who didn't deserve to be used as a propaganda tool.

I do believe that I agreed it was an incredible achievement.

And to think I passed up a free press pass to report on it!

I know this was not listed but I may have to go of Louis dismanteling of Schmelling in their rematch.

Its not like foreman and back and beat bowe or Lewis or holy.

Moorer was lucky to get the win over holy who was lucky to get the win over bowe.

Calling him a true chmp makes me cringe.
